St. John's has the loudest D-III stadium I've ever been in.

I am sure you are right.  I forgot about their being #1 in attendace with huge numbers of fans. Haven't had the pleasure of witnessing a game in Collegeville.............yet. But the Cru students with their noise makers is the loudest I have experienced.

With SOME notable exceptions, we are all dumber for having read this board for the last few days.

Thanks for posting the info.  Sounds like a great pick up for Whitewater.  This board hasn't had a post in three days.  I believe they call that a, "pregnant pause!"   ;D

La Crosse seems like the number two pick of most in the WIAC.  Looking at their roster..they seem to lose a bunch, including starting QB.  Anyone make a case for LX challenging Whitewater?

With the final standings calculated, the Williams College captures its ninth consecutive United States Sports Academy Director's Cup in D3, tallying 1,137.5 points.

UWL (718.75) leads the pack of WIAC teams in the top 50, coming in at 7th... Oshkosh (12), UWSP (13), UWEC (18), UWW (32) and UWP (45) follow. After that, the standings are muddied, with ties in several positions -UWRF (119), Stout (232) and Platteville (312).

The cup is based on each school's finish in up to 14 sports - seven men's and seven women's teams... National Championship teams each receive 100 points...

It will be interesting to see how the QB battle at UWL shakes out...

Since 1966, LaX has finished either first or second in the conference race 29 times to lead all teams.  My guess is that eventhough they might lose some top talent, when it is all said and done, they will be first or second again this year.  Will the challenge WW?  I think they have the best shot of anybody.  Sept. 29 should be an interesting day.

bulk19, just a correction, Superior was in 312th place with 5 points.  You mistakenly had Platteville listed twice. :)

I think the Sept. 29th game will probably be for the conference championship (with apologies to the other conference teams).  Whitewater has shoes to fill.  So do we.  But its our house, and I think we will win.

With very few exceptions it's been a critical game for both teams for a long time and it's always a challenge.  But both teams will have to deal with the other programs in the conference as well and none of them are going to give a thing.  Neither can afford to look past anyone else but I wouldn't be surprised if both have Sept 29th circled.   I know, personally, that when the schedules are released it's the first game I look for.
