Of course, it is good to have contacts in Minnesota but I think that the Warhawks are getting some top notch players from Illinois currently and with the reduced out of state tuition it can only be a bigger incentive in coming years......besides people are much more aware of Whitewater in Illinois now after their recent triumphs and sucess of the players on the roster from Illinois.....I'm predjudice but in my opinion the Warhawks will get more talent out of Illinois than Minnesota but I do agree that it is certainly beneficial to have contacts in both locations.....

Team USA has begun training camp in San Jose, California in preparation for next month's World Championship of American Football, a  six-country tournament July 7-15 in Kawasaki, Japan.

I'll be in San Jose June 26 through July 3 and will give some updates on the team, particularly the D3 contingent. UW-La Crosse cornerback Steve Teeples, UW-Stevens Point running back Cody Childs, UW-Whitewater defensive tackle Ryan Kleppe are representing the WIAC along with newly retired UWW head coach Bob Berezowitz and newly hired Stout defensive coordinator, a former Stevens Point player, Clayt Birmingham.  The three WIAC players are amongst 9 D3 players on the 45-man USA roster.

What does UW-Platteville look like this year? I heard a couple of transfers are on their way in, and their returning cast is pretty good. How many wins can we expect from the Pioneers? Does anybody have any info on these alleged transfers or any other news from Platteville? Thanks in advance

According to rotoworld.com
"   Rams signed seventh-round WR Derek Stanley to a three-year, $1.1 million contract. The deal includes a $27,900 signing bonus."

Good for him.  Hope he has a good career in the NFL.

Couldn't be happier for #2 who is now #19.....Nothing is guaranteed in the NFL so work hard and I know you will excel....

Just Bill

Outstanding!  If he does nothing else, he's already made all WIAC fans proud.  However, I'm sure he's got bigger goals than keeping us morons happy!  :D

Great news!  Congrats to Derek, who proves again it can be done: D3 to NFL.  Great job!  :)

Yep. Though this was not a surprise since he was drafted. :)

Here's one of those "...it could only happen in Wisconsin" stories, Mount Rushmore carved out a big block of cheddar:

Lawrence hired Lakeland's offensive coordinator in the offseason. Can any Whitewater fans tell me what to expect as far as formations and tendencies?

Looking at their stats, it looks like they ran the option, as their QB has a lot of carries. Does anyone recall if it was a spread shotgun option or old school out of the I  or maybe a double wing type like Augies?

Berezowitz, Kleppe and other WIAC players head to Japan on the Fourth of July for the World Championship of American Football.  Here's a story from the Janesville Gazette.
