after their team got the benefit of a horrible job of officiating.

Five years after their team got that benefit, even!

Wow!

Is the son still going to River Falls?  Or will that change now?
What the hell was that?  That was a Drop-kick.  Drop-kick? How much is that worth?  Three points.  THREE POINTS?!

Pat Coleman

His son is still going to River Falls, yes. Coach Zweifel said he was looking forward to attending every game he possibly could.

warhawkclownshow

Very bad news for RF, really loosing a good one. (without ever having him)

CaptainKurt

As a huge Beloit Memorial Purple Knights fan, I'm happy for both Beloit and Coach Zweifel.  I have some family that teaches in the school district, and now they can see for themselves what I was talking about during all of my college years on how good it is to be led by a guy like Stan.

At the same time, I'm glad Z won't be coaching against the Warhawks this year.  The WIAC is hard enough as is!!!! ;)

What will D3football.com do now that Stan Zweifel, maybe the most well known assistant coach in D3 football, won't be a topic of conversation in the Daily Dose and PP's anymore?  I think D3football.com can be credited with making him famous.  I mean, think about it, how many other assistant coaches in D3 football would make the Daily Dose just by taking a new job at the high school level (no offense to all the Beloit Memorial Purple Knights alums and fans)?
I think when he realized that he was going to have to change his gameday apparel color from purple to red, it made him want to change again.  I guess purple is just in his blood. ;D

I have a new current poll question, too. Maybe you already have this planned - (although the jobs are different) Would Stan Zweifel's new position be considered a promotion, a lateral, or a step down? Ring a familiar bell?

WWarhawk96,
What about the hailMary game against LaCrosse where after the Hawks pulled it out in Overtime, the Lacrosse coaches and players were crying like lil babies who lost their binkies.
Yeah the referees screwed up, but they are human and thats part of the game as I recall the Eagles were up 20-6 at one point in the second half, and the Warhawks and captainkurt and the special teams lead the comeback. To set up SURE THING.
That to me was one of the most exciting games ever because how many times will you see a hail mary pass actually work??? I have seen two Michigan vs Colorado, and UWW-UW-L.
The stagg bowl's were exciting however not for the warhawls just for those darn purple cladded wearing people from Ohio

Since your talking about favorite UWW/UWL memories,  mine was the '91 game at UWL in the freezing cold.  They plowed the field before the game an scraped all the grass off then put down either lime or chalk for lines. Ended up melting my gloves with the sideline heater that game.  UWW wins and a certian UWW wide reciever taunts UWL by tiptoeing along the goal line before steping in and scoring...bush leage I know but still fun to see UWL get riled up and then still lose

Maybe it's just me, but I think Z really dumped on O'Grady and RF. Nothing like leaving them high and dry just a couple weeks before camp starts.
If you can't ignore an insult, top it; if you can't top it, laugh it off; and if you can't laugh it off, it's probably deserved.

Looked to me (from afar) that Z and O'Grady go way back and I am sure they had many talks about this before coming to this decision.

You can't really predict the timing of a job offer. They have a son still in HS in Whitewater, don't they?

BoBo: Not many would, no. Post Patterns made him a household name. We're simply giving him a day on the front page before the Top 25 poll and such come out.
