How can you not?

Listen.  You should be careful with your comments about programs.  I am not a Stout supporter.  However, I applaud them for being the only team to step up and try to clean up their program.  Performance enhancing substances are prevelent at all levels of football.  If you think your favorite team is squeaky clean you will be very surprised when the domino's start to fall.

I played D1 football in the mid 80's and this stuff was widespread then.  Not only at that level but down to the NAIA.  I personally witnessed an OL from LAX (who had a successful NFL career) break a needle off in his arse due to the thick callous' that he had developed from the injections he was taking.

I know many players and coaches at the D3 level and they all know what goes on with many of these boys.  The satisfaction that they get is that there are many that don't juice.  These are the kids that should be applauded.

To single out one program and suggest that they should be looked at with greater suspicion is not just wrong, it is irresponsible.  Remember the old saying, Those who live in glass houses...  ...you might be shocked to learn what some of your boys are up to.

The whole league should be held accountable for their athletes off season training regimen.  D3 should not be a safe haven for those athletes that attempt to gain a little extra edge.  Any performance enhacing substances should be flushed out of the WIAC.  Unfortunately, this is not happening at this time.

I'm sure the "OL from UWL in the mid 80's who had a successful NFL career" appreciates you posting in a chat room that you witnessed him break a needle off in his butt as he was taking steroids.

That pretty much narrows down his identity.   I'd be more careful how much information I shared next time if it were me.

If he would care at all he wouldn't have been dumb enough to be so blatant about his roid use.  Regardless of that situation, my point is that performance enhancing substances have plagued ALL levels of football for years.  Especially those programs at the top.  The pressure is there for the boys to keep winning and many don't do it naturally.

To condemn one program and think that the rest of them are clean is just naive.  Or maybe it is just that winning is so important to many people that they chose to look the other way.

Purest form of the game???  Quite possibly the dirtiest because we don't hold the athletes accountable for what they put into their bodies.

D3 should test all of its athletes.

From STLtoday.com

New return man Dante Hall might not play because of a sore hamstring, meaning second-year man Marques Hagans and seventh-round draft pick Derek Stanley get the bulk of the work on kickoff and punt returns. Even without Hall, the blockers on return units and the coverage units need to make a statement under new special teams coach Al Roberts.
If you can't ignore an insult, top it; if you can't top it, laugh it off; and if you can't laugh it off, it's probably deserved.

In regards to steroids and other schools in the WIAC I can't really comment because there is no evidence on the subject, unlike Stout.  Obviously others in the conference are doing it but you can't point fingers unless there is a verifiable reason to do so.

WIAC_NoTalentHack

Yeah, yeah, yeah, steroids this and steroids that.  We could debate this crap till the cows come home.  Its part of the game and if you don't think it should be well you go and find the money to test all these athletes.  NOT GOING TO HAPPEN!!  The cost and the administrative work alone to complete testing in a D3 league such as the WIAC would be too costly and frankly people aren't going to pay for it.  Coming from first hand experience sure steroids can help your strength and quickness, but it takes coaching and the right system to put your football players in position to make plays and win ball games.  I don't see a lot of bodybuilders and professional wrestlers making it in big-time football.  "The game is 90% mental and 10% physical" as one of my coaches once said, and I truely believe that.

How about we start talking about football again???? Does anyone truly see any team in the WIAC challenging Whitewater for the conference championship?? How good will LaX be and do you think this could possibly be the year that Oshkosh gets over the hump?  As for Stout I see they are picked dead last?  I personally think they should be a little better than that..  Any insight or conversation would be great! thanks guys!!

I think people will be suprised after the 29th of September - LaX will be moving up in the polls and sitting on top of the WIAC.  For the rest of the WIAC every week will be a crap shoot.  I don't think any team will be a definite favorite over the other.

If Beaver stays healthy and Danny Jones performs like he did at Cal Lutheran no in the WIAC should touch the Hawks. (LAX can't handle a healthy Beaver, who will gain over 1,000 yards against one team in essentially 3 YEARS!)

Has Danny Jones already been set as the starting QB - How long have they been practicing?

warhawkclownshow

I believe practice starts Monday, and I'm assuming he will be the starter purely based on his past accomplishments.  Ryczkowski would also do a fine job handling the position, either way whoever wins the job will be a more than adequate QB in the conference.(especially considering LAX, uww main challenger, has no one with playing time at the position)

Has anybody heard scrimmage info for the WIAC teams?  Dates, times, teams

Practice for UWW starts Sunday. Danny Jones has been in Wisconsin for most of the summer throwing on his own to the Warhawk receivers. The word is he is very good and also has excellent speed.....Whether he is a starter I assume will come with him earning that position this summer/fall....
