I agree with you Stealth that line play will be crucial. Last year Kleppe in my opinion had the best game of his career against MHB. On offense our offensive line had a difficult time getting to their linebackers because they are super quick and great tacklers. The stretch play against them didn't work....Simply we need to pound the rock right up the middle on them and hit some passes to loosen them up.......

Personally, I thought his best game was against St. John's. :'(  Maybe you don't count that one since it seemed like the game plan was to not put a man on him and let him run wild.  >:(

Exactly, why I didn't count that game......St.Johns did not double him for some reason until midway through the second half.....where MHB doubled and tripled him from the start and he still had a huge impact on the game....

Sakman;  I'd be interested in reading your thoughts regarding last year's game.  When the points were scored, etc. With a 7-3 outcome it must have been a bit of a tug-o-war.

Nice Picture of Strop!! haha, that GREAT coach is doing a hell of a job with Hamline's Defense as they are consistently giving up 35+ points/game..    There definitely isn't anyone other than Blue Devil Bob that misses that guy around Menomonie.

Hamline has been dismal for years.  Since 2000, the Johnnies have outscored them 382-20.  I hardly think it is fair to expect Strop to turn that around in one season.

Let strop get his feet under him.  he is a great coach and motivator and he has coached one of the best defenses in the WIAC for several seasons.  I always wish him best of luck.

Stat of the week:
Of the WIAC games played so far, the home team is 13-4.  I know the home team always has a chance and typically is the favorite in many WIAC games, but I never knew it to be this wacky.  2 of these home loses were to UWW and the other 2 were decided by a total of 4 points.  The bottom 5 teams had not won a conference game away from home.

Just got done looking at the in game stats (frickin insane.) for MHB against Mississippi wow can't beleive I can spell that, :oWhen the two MHB backs come up the middle look for WW LB's to put a now coined "griffin wack" on them early and often.  WW O has got to keep MHB O off the feild. Ball control, ball control and more ball control. Rolling into town Friday from far away distances. Looking forward to pre-game parking lot festivities. Go Hawks.

I had forgotten that.  I just assumed that every team knew to double or triple team Kleppe.  When he would have a quieter game, I figured that it was just because they had done it with better players.   ;D

Warhawk 96

I think this week we will see the difference between when the warhawks play in a 40 degree warmer climate change after an 18 hour travel day/night and when they are playing at home with a good nights sleep. To me the whole UWW-Wesley-MHB confusion can be solved with the above equation.

Oh yeah, and the Warhawk D.....is not the M-I-crooked letter-crooked letter-I-crooked letter-crooked letter-I-humpback-humpback-I College defense. After giving up 26 yards per carry I had to get a long run out of that sentence.

You don't have to just listen, you can watch the game online at PennAtlantic.com.
You can pay just under 6.00 to watch the game on your computer.  We are hoping to have a big thing at UMHB on Saturday so everyone that can't go can watch the game.

These two backs are amazingly strong.  Our 2nd O line can star just about anywhere else and are used often.  The MISSIPPI D was 1st in yards allowed on the ground and we demoralized them.  I'm not saying the same thing will necessarily happen Saturday, but we are a good team and we will run the ball.  This isn't the same team as last year.

UMHB people. Is there someplace to find a 2 deep lineup for your team? (website)

Man that was insane rushing yards from both backs. Wondering if thier opponents were the cheerleaders  :D Refs and chain gang must have been exhausted. Gut check time for both WW lines. That's where it will be won or lost.

Giving MHB feild position will be a killer.

stealth, did you consider what MHB did last sat in making this statement? Anyplace between the goal-line stripes is prime field position for that offense!!  ;)

Both of our guys are lightning in a bottle and are wicked strong.  They will bring the hurt.

Here is the roster. http://www.umhb.edu/athletics/football/roster.html

But as far as a two deep, I'm not sure.  Lets just say our team's home page is not even close to being as good as our team.

Ditto on umhb2001's observation of the web site. For a 2-deep roster, you might try contacting the UMHB SID. His name is Jon Wallin. His e-mail is: jwallin@umhb.edu
