I have just been looking at pictures of Perkins Stadium and I am wondering how many people can sit on the vistors side?

BoBo

2, maybe 3  ;D

Don't know the exact amount, but it would be in the low to middle hundreds I would guess.  There is a lot of standing room looking down into the field, too.  Usually around here, only maybe only La Crosse or St. Johns travel well enough to fill it or get close to filling it.  Some of the other guys who are there each week might have a better handle of the situation than I do since I have been geographical removed recently.

If you can't ignore an insult, top it; if you can't top it, laugh it off; and if you can't laugh it off, it's probably deserved.

That's a very good GUESS...I usually under-estimate these kind of things anyway...maybe voice could look out his office window and give us a more accurate count?  ;)

Pat might have a pretty good guess, afterall, it's a very good view down from the roof of the press box to the visitors seating area.

Last year VS MHB:
1. No Beaver
2. Reuland goes down mid game
3. 40 degree climate adjustment
4. 17 hour travel/practice day the night before
5. Two blocked field goals

I would add just one more thing to that list, 96.

6.  Extremely noisy atmosphere.

Mostly the result of the student section in the end zone with noise makers and banging drums when UWW was on offense.   Don't expect it to be a problem this weekend as noise makers are prohibited by the WIAC.
Article 27.1.5.1   "Pep Bands/Noise Makers.  All pep bands and noise makers must be cleared through the host athletics director's office before they can be brought into a contest area during indoor athletics events.  No pep band music or noise makers shall be used during a live ball period.   Arrangements for visiting bands (e.g., admission, seating, marching) must be approved by the host athletics director prior to the event."

I agree with the guys, should be adequate seating on the visitors side considering the distance traveled.  SJU and UWLX (06 play-off games,) are within 3-5 hours driving and they travel really well and filled the stands up but I seem to remember there was still seating left.  Perkin Stadium is one of the top 2 largest stadiums in D-3, if I am remembering right, seating over 11,000 so the visitors side is also bigger than most I would guess.

Someone asked about restaurants, etc.  The nicest is probably, Randy's Fun Hunter's Brewery. (I am serious. That is the name.)  If you like Mexican, there is Karina's downtown.  Also Fat Jacks is the nicest bar and serves good food and bloody Marys but not a lot of seating.  Rick's Eastside Pub is another casual sports bar with good food and can't forget Sax Lone Star outside of town where the QB Club congregates.  When I just want to drink, I go to the Boar on 2nd steet across from Karina's.  Ask any of the locals for directions.
The Hawks fans tailgate really well so feel free to join us.  Hit the Wal-Mart for a styrofoam cooler so you can drink out of the trunk of your rental car and come join us.   ;D  Looking forward to repaying that wonderful Texas hospitality.    Hope all have safe travels and we have an injury free game.  I believe it will be a relatively low scoring defensive stuggle again this year with the victor being the one who controls the ball, makes the least mistakes and performs best in all three areas, O, D and yes, Special Teams!  :D  I expect the winner to have earned it at the final buzzer.

Sorry, got a little long but I had a lot on my mind, I guess.  8)

I would GUESS it's 500 to 1000.

I think you're underestimating the capacity, Flash.  If I remember correctly it's more like 1000-1200.

It should be a great atmosphere and we've got the CANNON GUY.   Hopefully he's very busy.

Guys, you should keep one thing in mind,  UMHB is a BAPTIST school and BAPTIST policy is that they don't drink in the presence of other BAPTISTS.  So ya'll should ofer more bar choices so the fans can diversify ;D ::)
My wife and I are Alumni of both UMHB and HSU.  You think you are confused, my kids don't know which Purple and Gold team to pull for.

One of the nice things about the ridiculously oversized grandstand on the home side is that there is no UWW overflow into the visitor's side.  The visitor's stands aren't huge, but if St. John's couldn't fill them you should have no problem finding a good seat.

I can't decide who I'd rather see win this game.  I would like to see the Johnnies get anothing shot at UW-Whitewater, but I would prefer it to be in Collegeville for once.  Unfortunately, it looks like if the Johnnies and Warhawks both win out (certainly not a guarentee with Bethel still on the Johnnies' schedule), it looks like UW-W is locked into the #1 Seed.

At the same time, I always like the West to show that it is the dominant Region--and save Mt. Union, that is obviously true yet again.  Counting the last 2 SJU/UWW playoff games and the game at St. Cloud this year, Whitewater is the D3 team that I have seen the second most games for over the past couple seasons (besides the Johnnies, of course).  If they play well--Jones is making his passes and the receivers are holding onto the ball--they can beat anybody.  You know Beaver will get his yards.

Should be a good game.

Opps, My Bad!  Well, there is always, Culvers and Micky D's!  Also you can fill the syrofoam coolers with Ice Tea and Diet Cokes or we could all just enjoy the tailgate with our eyes closed.  After a few cocktails, mine tend to do that natural, anyway.   ;)

Do you mean Cozumels, Sak?    It's located in the old Sentry grocery store which was converted to a strip mall a few years ago.

Yes we do, BW, but even though that tends to upset the visiting team as it signifies a Warhawk TD, it doesn't happen during live play preventing their O-line from hearing the snap count.   ;)
