THought we might be able to sneak one by you today. Wasn't meant to be.
Good luck to you guys. Keep the best football in the West.
You come to Wartburg to play for championships

The Wartburg team certainly showed a ton of heart today. I can't speak for anyone else but for myself I'd give a 10 on effort to them . Fell short I think in that the receivers not being able to hold on to the  ball. You certainly contained the Warhawks run game, comparativley. Never the less congrats on a big win to the Warhawks and also to Wartburg. I promise never ever to use the term Warthog again they deserve much respect.

There's only one way to find out if a man is honest...ask him. If he says 'yes,' you know he is a crook.

Best of luck to the Warhawks on your next step returning to Salem.  Give 'em hell in Texas.

As I say every autumn about my Chicago Cubs, "Wait 'til next year."

Was it me or is Cannon Guy using new artillary ? At least they could have cleared a pad for the guy ::)

he used a mortar cannon today. I beleive he used the same one two weeks ago. He likes using it instead of the regular cannon b/c it's easier to load and unload onto the hill outside the stadium.

Wartburg put up a fight today, when I thought UWW was going to roll. They seem to bottle up Anderson early on, but thanks to a couple of big runs AA turned out to have a big day. Rindahl showed why he's an all american today by two huge interceptions, one for a TD!!! I agree, the momentum deffinetly shifted when Troney blocked that FG, leading to a Donovan TD.

I enjoyed tailgating and sharing our firepit with the Wartbutg fans. They seemed truly humbled by competing this late in the tourny, especially against a team like Whitewater. Next week should be a great game, and a really tough matchup against MHB, hopefully the young 'hawks can make it 4 straight to Salem!

By the way.......what happen on that interception late in the game that was called back....We left the game at that point and was watching the game at a local bar and couldn't hear the announcer's explanation. It apeared to be a UWW INT but then it was first and ten for Wartbutg...was there a pass interferance or something???

Well were at a similar spot. UMHB vs. UW-Whitewater. The Cru is an excellent football team as well as the Warhawks. I expect UMHB to come out on top, I think theyre just better, plain and simple. I witnessed it firsthand when they crushed a poorly played Wesley College. So I bring a message to the Warhawks: IT WONT BE AS EASY AS LAST YEAR!!!

Sounds like the Cru has a fine team again. Who said it was it easy last year? The national semi-final game was a hard fought battle that the Warhawks barely pulled out.

I think they called Pass Interference on the play and the Ref inadvertently (sp?) blew the whistle.

Relax there, waterboy, this weeks stats are barely dried on the page and you already want to mix it up with UWW fans. Unfortunately for you, it ain't going to happen.  Warhawk fans and Cru fans have a healthy respect for each other.  If you are a real fan of UMHB, I would think you would  know that!!   ::)

Word of advice, using Wesley to strengthen your case will only being on uncontrolled laughter on the part of Warhawk fans...we know Wesley from first hand experience and have never been impressed with the Wolverines on the football field.   ;)

I overheard a couple of former Warhawk players at the Lacrosse game last year talking about how Belton was the loudest place they had ever played...something about beating drums....I assume that will not be allowed in the playoffs...unless we can also bring the cannon  ;D

KABOOM

FYI, In 2005, the Warhawk Defense outscored the Wesley Offense.

Bobo is right.  I certainly have a lot of respect for MHB, but as always I am optimistic and confident about the 'Hawks chances in Belton (a very tough place to play).

Hey guys,

Waterboy is a Wesley fan.  I agree whole heartedly with BoBo about the mutual respect.  I just hope it's finally our turn!!  ;)  Unfortunately, I have to be in San Diego on a business trip best rest assured my laptop will be tuned to this game!! ;D
Anything that you ardently desire, vividly imagine, totally believe and enthusiastically pursue will inevitably come to pass !!!
