Best wishes next week for the Warhawks. You earned the victory yesterday. I'm glad Wartburg gave you something to worry about and you got a taste of IIAC football. Hope we meet again next year.

Awesome job, Warhawks and great, but very cold, final tailgate at the Perk.  Wartburg played very hard and really gave us a run.  Congrats to them on a terrific season!  Defense did such a great job keeping us in the game when it looked precarious at times!  The D will have to step up big again next weekend if the Hawks are to make their 4th trip to Virginia!  The Crusaders will bring their A game and must be salivating at the thought of payback and in their own house, no less.  In the 3 meetings the last 2 years between these two teams, the Crusaders have only managed 3 TD's and a field goal.  Must play the same kind of shut-down defense this weekend and pound the rock!

Congratulations to Wartburg on a fine season. You guys really were a good team. Congrats to the Hawks for making it to the final four. The defense played remarkably. The offense kind of sputtered at times but did enough to get us through which is what counts in the end. I guess now it's time to pound the rock Thru the Cru!

Pretty safe prediction, since even by straight lottery you've got a 75% chance. :P

And since even us CCIW guys have hope (but not much faith) in Wheaton's chances Saturday, I'd say you're runnin' 90+%. ;)

Houston Texans and former UW-Whitewater's Matt Turk just punted in his 200th NFL game yesterday at Lambeau Field vs the Packers.

Congrats to the Warhawks!! And to Wartburg, you have a dang good football teamand a lot to be proud of..

I hate to complain, but being at the game, was that the worst officiating crew or what?

I'm looking forward to a really good game on Saturday and glad you guys are kind enough to make the trip down for us! ;D

I was kind of hoping we could get some good ol' Texas weather on saturday... you know, 90 degrees with 100 percent humidity.  Seems only fair since UMHB had to play in the frozen tundra last year.

Just kidding, but all jokes aside what do you Warhawk fans think the game is going to come down to?

I have heard that the offense is not quite as good this year.  Some of that due to beaver being gone im sure, but do you still have the same QB as last year?

It sounds to me like it may be another defensive battle like last year and could be determined by only 3 or 4 plays during the ballgame.  Turnovers like always could very well decide the game along with which team makes the most "big plays" when they get their chance.

I watched you guys play UMHB last year on the Internet and also was at the Stagg to watch you win.  Good luck this week and may the best team win!!!

GO CRU!!!!!!!
YOU KNOW IT!!!!

...and ripped the hearts out of Packer fans with a unfathomable first down run on a fake punt. How could he do that to us?!

I liked his comment about that run, to paraphrase, at 40 years old, he can only run fast when he's being chased!!

Probably come down to the same'ol things...turnovers and who controls the line of scrimmage.

Now who's spreading gossip like this?  ;)

Warhawks have a new QB.  In fact, if you saw the game last year, don't use the same program - many new names and faces - however, young and extremely talented.  In some regards, it's quite amazing they've made it this far losing all that they did after last season...but there was a lot of talent waiting that didn't get a chance to show themselves last year.

Hoping for another great game to end the Cru's season!!   ;)

GO CRU!!!!!!!

Yes, turnovers will be very important. Also, it seems that this game will be strength on strength....the Cru run game against the Hawks run defense....if the Hawks can contain the Cru run game, then they should be in good shape....judging from last year's games with Whitewater and this year's stats...the Cru doesn't have a strong pass game (why would they, given the way they run the ball?) and can actually get in trouble when they are forced to throw the ball (witness the interceptions by the Hawks in the first game last year). If the Cru has their normal success in running the ball then it will be a long day for the Hawks.

The Cru has a strong rush defense again but I think the Hawks will have enough of a passing game to put up enough points to win.
