Home and home with Whitewater ???

Been there...done that.  If we have to keep meeting, let's make sure it's in the semi's or finals.  It's better that way.....

Hey all...

I haven't read through the hundreds of pages on this board since the beginning of the playoffs.  Were there any conclusions drawn as to why the #4 ranked defending national champs got a #5 seed in the west?  UWW has proven to be everything of a #1 or #2 seed.  Obviously it doesn't matter now that they are in the semis and made it through their region... but I'm just curious.

In a nutshell we lost to Stevens Point and there were three undefeated teams.  They were ranked ahead of us and our loss to Point put them ahead of us.  As it turns out it's irrelevant.  The cream rises to the top. ;)

The only one I have a problem with was Monmouth.  There isn't a MWC champion that deserves being ranked above a WIAC co-champion imo.

I agree with Skunks.....No point to meeting MUC more than once a year....lived through that experience and it will serve no benefit now.....

I was kind of hoping we could get some good ol' Texas weather on saturday... you know, 90 degrees with 100 percent humidity.  Seems only fair since UMHB had to play in the frozen tundra last year.

Ok so I'm a little pissed off at all you Wisconsin fans/players...

We have been enjoying some great weather in Texas for the early part of December, and as we near the game on Saturday, I walk outside from work and it is cold and snowing(about 150 miles SE of  Belton).  I said I wanted it to be hot and steamy!  You guys are not being very gracious guests. ;D
YOU KNOW IT!!!!

Truth-be-told BWH, there isn't a MWC champ that deserves being ranked above an 8-2 IIAC champ either... but I guess we've proven that on the field several times before now :)  (It feels too good to get digs in at the MWC)

I guess the Mount guys are tired of playing UWW, too, as this post taken from the ASC board:

Cru Fans,
Most of us here at Mount Union think you'll handle UWW this weekend.
BoBo- what does your t-shirt say. Can't read the small print.

That's a darn good question  :-\ ...wish I had the exact answer for you...it's something along the line of "Welcome to Texas" and underneath, "We shoot visitors." (at least that's what I would say - may not be right!)  Pictured are the Cheesehead couple trying to look native by changing into their cowboy hats at the Texas border!  Something tells me they may not be convincing!!  ;D

Just saw the D3 All-Region Teams and wanted to chime in on what I thought......considering that we had a 1st Team All-Region RB (as a true frosh) in the toughest conference in D3 (IMO) I don't get how Sherman isn't 1st Team as well.....the same thing held true the last few years....where Beaver was 1st Team and so was Sakellaris/Ramseier, etc.....Jace is a given---the best LB in D3 (no opinion necessary).....congrats to T-Shump and Anthony "Bonecrusher" White, two guys both from Bay View in Milwaukee asserting themselves on the field---both will be up for All-American status next year (you heard it here first)......I understand Pat's reasoning for putting Birkhofer ahead of Schebler (he's hit 3 field goals over 50 yards with a long of 56), but you can't deny the fact that Schebler set the NCAA ALL-TIME FIELD GOAL MARK FOR CRYING OUT LOUD!!!!! Don't penalize Jeff because his offense is too explosive to allow him to hit longer field goals.  UWW's offense is in the red zone more than Old Spice is!!!!  There isn't a more consistent, money kicker than I would want to have with the game on the line than Schebler and the fact that he isn't 1st Team is a first-class joke.

Next order of business.......WHO IN THE HELL IS BRAD VICKROY????????????
I have been a consistent follower of UW-Whitewater and the WIAC for the last few years and I never heard of this guy from anyone until the All-Conference teams came out.  I was at the Stevens Point game and I feel he was a non-existent presence, yet he was WIAC POY, West Region POY and probably cemented All-American status while not even being the best D-Linemen in his conference.  I have heard from numerous Whitewater players that Marcus Ball from Stout was the hands down best DL in the WIAC and he is #10 in the WIAC in tackles while leading the WIAC in sacks (13) and TFLs (24.5) in 10 games, while Vickroy only had 5.5 sacks and 16 TFLs in 11 games, albeit playing DT......You're telling me Vickroy is a more valuable player than Ball from Stout, Rindahl from UWW, Beckwith from Point (IMO, single-handedly won the WIAC for Point) or Sartorelli from EC.

No disrespect....but if you're going to elect a defensive player (a lineman especially) as conference POY, he better look and play like Reggie White, Dwight Freeney, Julius Peppers or Mario Williams....or else stick with the usual and give it to an offensive player
Contrary to popular belief, Justin Beaver was found to actually have a large "S" on his chest and he actually is INVINCIBLE.

Go to the top of the page. Click on Videos tab (for you web challenged)
Go to Live events and it's on the left pick ems down a few.
You will have to download a plug in from Microsoft. It takes just a few seconds but suggest you do it earlier that 2 minute before kick off.   ::)
Not sure who is doing the audio but if the Voice isn't then it will suck like most NCAA audio broadcast do.

Didn't Pat Coleman say he and someone else from d3football.com would be providing the audio?  I thought I read that in the last couple days on here.

Pat, I enjoy the banter :)

But, I do not believe that making (as well as missing) longer field goals proves better distance. It can however prove that he has had more opportunities; which he did capitalize on at times (3/6 50-99 yards).

It does by default because UWW hasn't tried any from over 50 this year. We can't give someone an award based on what they can do in practice, or what they did last year or in 2006, just on what happens in this year's games.

Yes, D3football.com will be providing the audio. It may well suck but it won't suck like the other NCAA broadcasts. It will probably suck in a different way. Like by being professional (hopefully) and unbiased.

No disrespect intended but that would be my definition of sucking.  I enjoy the announcers so much better when they are clearly on my side!    ;) :D ;D

I just want to wish the Warhawks the best of luck on Saturday when they UMHB...

retagent

UMHB 24  -  UWW 20.

Since my predictions are so spot on,  ;D, I would think that the Warhawk fans would be ecstatic.

I know I breathed a deep sigh of relief, retagent.  I've been worried you might pick us.  :D

Truthfully this game has me much more uncomfortable than the either St Johns or Wartburg and even a bit more than Williamette.
