RFB,
I never said you said anything. I know exactly where Colfax is. -20 in a blizzard in the mid west is not +30 and a little breezy in Colfax though. You'd have to admit that.
As far as the De Lasalle vs. Grant statement. Not having the super human powers of mind reading that you do I can't say why they don't play. I doubt the coach from De Lasalle ever ducked anybody considering they play some of the top teams in the country year after year and had a little 151 win streak awhile back with a record of 334-20-3 in 29 years with 4 National Championships in a row from 2000-2003. Grant, zero. So ducking Grant maybe a bit of a stretch but if it makes you feel better so be it. Tell you what, if they do meet in 09 we can get back to this but until it's on the books then we can agree that Grant is no De Lasalle.  http://www.dlshs.org/data/files/gallery/TeamFiles/Football_Championships.pdf

Nope Snoop Dawg's pack are from southern cal. Redlands area I believe. RFB knows. Him and SD go way back on the SCIAC board. Best of freinds.
Never heard of this kid but then again Colfax is not the center of the football universe in Nor Cal. That's the SF bay areas domain. De Lasalle territory. Great country if you like 115 degree summers. Wonder how he'll take to 30 below. Wait I heard that before. Something about some NorCal kid and can he play far away from home in the cold and snow. The answer was , well we know the answer right  ;)

Stealth,

I never said Colfax was THE football power in Northern California. I said they are a small school power in the San Joaquin football section in Northern California. As for him playing in cold waether he should be just fine. Don't mistake Northern California with the sunbelt of Southern California. NorCal has a completely different climate and it can get cold there. It does snow at times in Colfax as it's located in the Sierra Mountains foothills.

And by the way. De LaSalle has been running scared from Grant (California State Champs) in Sacramento for years now. They will not play them. That problem looks to be solved as there will be a Northern California and Southern California championship that looks to be put into place for next year.

I'm connected to people in the area and that are in the know. Grant has routinely reached out to De LaSalle to schedule a game and they have said no. De LaSalle last year said they would play a home and away with Grant with the condition that De LaSalle would keep 100% of the gate receipts at Grant. That game was going to be a huge draw and Grant was not very happy about it. Grant said fine let's play and De LaSalle backed out.

Grant beat the Utah and Idaho big school state champs this year on the road while busing not flying and they beat Long Beach Poly on the road in Southern California as well for the Cali state chamiponship this year.

Trust me, De LaSalle is running scared.

Is it 2004/2005? No, it's 2009 and three consecutive seasons of Linfield enjoying some popcorn with butter.

Linfield offered Maynard and Redlands all the free popcorn the Dawgs could eat but even that wasn't good enough to get Redlands to sign the dotted line.

snoop dawg

I was told Maynard asked for buttered popcorn and Linfield refused. ;)

Somehow seems doubtful - buttered popcorn could be quite a secret weapon if you can tempt the qb, rb, and receivers into eating it during the game! ;)

Take this over to the SCIAC where it should be. I'll catch up with you there. It needs some life.

Any WIAC players have a chance to be drafted this year?
If you can't ignore an insult, top it; if you can't top it, laugh it off; and if you can't laugh it off, it's probably deserved.

6 Home games.   :)

Has to be Puget Sound.  I remember it being announced as a two year, home and home.

2 NAIA's to start.  Well, at least it's 10 games.
What the hell was that?  That was a Drop-kick.  Drop-kick? How much is that worth?  Three points.  THREE POINTS?!

My thoughts:
Relieved to have 10 games. Yes, the 26th game is with Puget Sound based on a quote on Warhawkfootball.com.  "The Hawks traveled to UPS last year."   Interesting new programs for NC games and 6 home games will make for an easier travel schedule for the team and more tailgating time fo me.   ;D
Congrats to all the WIAC alumni who are enjoying success with the CIFL.  Fun to read about them.
