Afterall, if you don't keep spectators across the field from each other, then it just becomes a hockey rink.   ;)

LOL...I think Wesley College already thinks that!!   ;)

I don't know 413, at this point, with Donovan attempting to regain his academic standing, our QB is Bruce Langer.  Come August, if Donovan is successful in his studies and is reinstated, the transfer from California arrives and the MUC brother, too - I think it's a good problem, provided they all got game, not a controversy. We know what we got in Donovan and Langer.  It'll be interesting to see what these other guys bring with them.  I remember about a year ago a transfer RB (Void) coming to WW was creating a buzz on here...well, we all know where that ended up.  ;)  I will take a wait and see approach from now on when it comes to transfers that are unknown to me.  Although, I hope the kid from California packs deja vu.

Unoffical reports, which I am unable to confirm or deny, coming from a source very close to Bruce Langer is that he has decided to leave the program.   My hunch is that he'll transfer some place though going to another WIAC program would cause him to sit out a year.   There are a few who have been very unhappy about his lack of playing time.  Of course he could change his mind but either way I don't think it will have that much of an impact on the program.

Donovan will be eligible by next season.  Bank it

Blanchard would only be a Sophomore I believe so he may be looking to play in a year or two.

I wonder if this Langer kid would be interested in playing for a former OC at WW that is currently coaching at a school just across the Mississippi from Wisconsin?  ;D

ANNCR:  Langer looks over the defense and starts to bark out the signals. He takes the snap and turns to hand off to Justin Spaulding.  It's that inside zone play again and Spaulding churns ahead for about four yards before he's taken down around the Spartan's 37-yard line.
COLOR:  Spaulding's down on the turf, Charlie. He rolling around in obvious pain. One of the  officials is signaling for the training staff to come on the field.  Time for Justin's  backup, Taylor Edwards, to warm up and take some handoffs over on the sideline while his teammate is being attended to.
ANNCR:  With this break in the action, let's take a time out of our own and remind you that you're listening to KDTH, AM 1370, Radio Dubuque.
COLOR: We're only in the first quarter, but it looks like Spaulding is going to be joining Miles Hookstead in the locker room.  Injuries just continue to plague this young Spartan team.

Royal Purple posted an article today about this upcoming season. according to the RP three non-seniors won't be returning for the 2009 season. Two of which are Langer (which BadgerWarhawk prophesied) and Gifford.

Anyone have any insight on why gifford won't return for his Sr year, kind of disapointing?? maybe b/c Wells and Rucsh will get majority of the looks (just speculating)?

Titans 2009 schedule has been released...http://www.titans.uwosh.edu/Football/Schedule.html

Sept. 5 Ripon College   1:30 p.m. Ripon
Sept. 19 Huntingdon College (Ala.)   Noon Oshkosh
Sept. 26 Ohio Dominican University   1:00 p.m. Oshkosh
Oct. 3 UW-La Crosse   1:00 p.m. La Crosse
Oct. 10 UW-River Falls   1:00 p.m. Oshkosh
Oct. 17 UW-Stevens Point (Homecoming)   1:30 p.m. Oshkosh
Oct. 24 UW-Platteville   1:00 p.m. Platteville
Oct. 31 UW-Eau Claire   1:00 p.m. Oshkosh
Nov. 7 UW-Whitewater   1:00 p.m. Whitewater
Nov. 14 UW-Stout   1:00 p.m. Oshkosh

This is, I believe, the 4th straight year facing Ripon during non-conference, 2nd straight year against ODU (won by 1 pt last year), and 2nd time in 3 years against Huntingdon (beat them in 07).

Glad to see they were able to fill their entire 10 game schedule this year.

Good luck to Matt Gifford in his future endeavors and thanks for a great Warhawk career...I will always remember the touchdown catch he had in the big comeback at Lacrosse in 2007

If I was the soccer coach I'd call him and tell him off. What a first-class jerk this guy is. And please don't post on here that he's just defending the honor of his players - I've dealt with him in the past on some things, and unless you're doing something that's going to benefit him, he doesn't have a lot of use for you.
