A two-time All-WIAC selection at cornerback and return specialist will be heading up the UWEC wrestling program...

Derek Sikora, 2002-06, Neillsville, becomes the school's sixth head coach, replacing Don Parker, who recently retired after being in that role for 32 years...

As much fun as he was to watch on the gridiron, and as talented as he was there, he had even more success as a wrestler, becoming the school's only national champion; he won the D3 title in 2006 as a senior (31-2) in the 165-pound class. He was a three-time All-American, posting a career record of 111-23, and third- and fifth-place finishes at the national meet as well....

With Michael Z. earning nothing but praise for his work in spring practice, perhaps it's time for BlueDevilBob and badgerwarhawk to put up or shut up. So, if these two worthies are good for it, three gallons of ice cream from the Falcon Dairy Story (BDB) or the Badger Dairy Story (bw) await, should their women's intuition prove correct.  To cover, BDB must pledge two extra large pizzas (one for Fred) from Ted's Pizza, located near Tainted Lake in MeNoMoney. For his half, bw need send four krengels (two raspberry, two pecan) my way from Lehman's Bakery in Racine.  Such is the cost of rank rumor-mongering.

kestrel, I believe you have Stoutguy and myself mixed up.

Stoutguy is the one with the inside scoop on this Z kid transferring.

badgerwarhawk

I was wondering how long it would take you to notice that BDB.

Not being involved with any of this "rank rumor-mongering," I would have to wonder why the fact that this Z kid is going through spring practice with the Falcons means he isn't leaving. I presume he is still enrolled in school, and there are plenty of friendships in place that would maintain the hospitality.

How anyone could mix stoutguy and me up is beyond belief.

stoutguy is to Rosie O'Donnell

as BDB is to Miss California.

Some people wonder about stoutguy and I throwing each other under the bus from time to time. Think it's a couple Stout guys that don't get along.

Long time regular posters like badgerwarhawk, footballfan413, janesvilleflash, bulk19, Bobo, et al. know that stoutguy and I are fast friends. We see each other and talk all the time. His wife is an RN and helped deliver my 2 children ferchrissakes.

Stoutguy is one of the best radio talents in western Wisconsin, and is a major reason the Saturday morning radio show I sponsor is so popular. We are buddies.

So, just in case you were wondering, that's where we are coming from.

Having said that, I see a bus on the horizon.

And since stoutguy used to teach drivers ed for a couple decades, and if you are ever around Menomonie you know how bad the drivers are, well, I blame it on stoutguy every chance I get.

He's the drivers ed guy who once got a ticket for not wearing a seatbelt after moving his truck about 20 yards in a restaurant parking lot..  ;D

I'm not used to guys saying nice things about me.  I don't really know how to react to BDB's post.  I was going to give him one of those big old karma points and then noticed he already has a kazillion of them.  Who's he been sucking up to?  On a serious note, nobody in western Wisconsin does more for area sports programs than BDB.  I'm not so sure, however, that that entitles him to over 1800 karma points.

You have to be a suck up to have 1800 karma points.

These boards can be used to have some fun, meet some other people, talk a bit about some kids having their own fun playing their favorite sport, and have some more fun, sometimes at your own expense.  Or they can be used for dcik measuring contests.  BDB understands the difference.

And yet he still manages to rack up 1800 karma points.  Some friggin' guys are so lucky you can't figure it out.
