After going 6-6 on extra points yesterday placekicker Jeff Schebler surpassed ex-WARHAWK Chad Wurth to become the program's and WIAC's all-time leading scorer.  With 369 points Schebler trails Mount Union's Jeff Zimmerman D3 all-time scoring record by 14 points.

Let the countdown begin.

Congrats Jeff.

Indeed, Schebler is as good as many higher division kickers and is proving it by honing in on the WIAC scoring record however Wurth was doubly important as he provided plenty of additional action between the tackles too.

Plus, Schebler is getting 5 extra games per year. I don't think playoff games should count.
If you can't ignore an insult, top it; if you can't top it, laugh it off; and if you can't laugh it off, it's probably deserved.

Rumor has Derek Stanley headed for Detroit for a workout.

That's what he said on his Twitter account, anyway.

Schebler is only 14 points away from being the all-time leading scorer by kicker in Division III.  By the way, the record he is chasing  (383) is held by Mike Zimmerman of Mt. Union (2005-2007).  I think Mike  played a "few extra games" too.

From NCAA Division III Record Book
Career  Most Points Scored by Kicking
383—Mike Zimmerman, Mount Union, 2005-07 (40 FGs,
263 PATs)

Division II Overall Scoring - Career
562—R.J. Bowers, Grove City, 1997-00 (92 TDs & 10 PATs)

Bowers played in DIII ;).

You need an updated Record Book.

You need an updated Record Book. I went to the online NCAA Division III record book and simply cut and paste the information.  I actually have several pages

Kirasadad,
My apologies, I'm smarter than that. I actually still have a couple of pages of Game Notes on Nate Kmick from  last year's Stagg Bowl broadcast.  As I remember, he was a pretty decent running back!! :-X

Any word on the injured Warhawks?  Antwan Anderson, Blanchard, the LBs, heck even the punter was in civvies last week.

Too many walking boots last week.
What the hell was that?  That was a Drop-kick.  Drop-kick? How much is that worth?  Three points.  THREE POINTS?!

haven't heard much about them. Hopefully we can get a few guys back now that conference play has begun. They had a few weeks off between the bye week and UPS :P to recoup. Hopefully it's not too serious, and they are just playing it safe.  :-\

Congrats to 2 Stout players, Jamin Ramsay & Kyle Martin, for being named to the D3 Team of the Week.  Way to go Devils!

Lookin for the Falcons to pull off a nice upset on saturday at Stout's homecoming!  A win on saturday would be the first time the Falcons have defeated the Blue Devils at Williams Stadium.  It would be nice to get a win there during this decade!

Hey LAX and Oshkosh fans........We've got a big group of high school football players and parents coming down from Cannon Falls to watch the game.  Most of us have little or no knowledge of what are the teams strengths & weaknesses, players to watch for, etc.  Like to hear from both sides.  Comments??

BoBo

Anyone know how Stanley's tryout went in Detroit?  Will we be seeing him in a Lions uniform on Sunday?

There's only one way to find out if a man is honest...ask him. If he says 'yes,' you know he is a crook.

I can only speak on what I've seen and read about UWL so far - they have implemented a no-huddle offense, so have been working out the kinks in that... Put up 48 on a D2 school last week, so they've ironed out things as the season has progressed... Tailback Reid Oldenburg is fun to watch; he's gotten the majority of the carries and has posted 441 yards and 7 TDs in three games... QB Nick Anker is adjusting well, has completed 58 percent of his passes, but isn't afraid to run, either...

On the defensive side of the ball, the secondary has been playing really well; it shut out a pass-oriented team last week...
