Gametime weather Saturday in Stevens Point according to weather.com:

Temperature to stay between 37 and 40. Will feel 10 degrees colder due to the wind.  The wind is to come out of the west at 21 MPH.

Sounds like good Wisconsin football weather to me!

Pound the Rock Hawks! Take care of business!

Mr. Ypsi

Would that strength of wind favor one team or the other?

Y,

This game features the two best QB in the WIAC.  I don't see the wind making a huge difference. I know Donavan has dealt with wind and played well. A playoff game at UMHB was the extreme example. And the wind whips pretty good at The Perk.  Beckwith is a great QB, too. I'm not familiar enough with his arm strength to comment.

I will say that if the wind becomes a problem and teams have to rely on their running game, UWW has a HUGE advantage. UWW has rushed for 1522 yards, 5.4 yards per carry, and 23 rushing touchdowns. UW-SP has rushed for 698 yards, 3.2 yards per carry, and 7 rushing touchdowns. UWW defense allows 2.7 ypc and has allowed only 1 rushing TD all year (last week given up by 2nd team defense with less than 2 minutes left and leading 38-7).

Kicking game, Point's FG kicker is 1-2 this year. UWW's Schebler is 5-6 and is the D3 All Time kick leader in scoring, FG's, and FG pecentage.

Punting: Point seems to have a couple of kids with GREAT legs. Jared Jenkins averages 43.7 ypp and 7 of his 26 punts have gone over 50 yards! Matznick has punted 6 times averaging 47.0 ypp and 2 over 50. UWW averages only 37.8 yards per punt.

Does anyone know if UWSP has a live stats page for todays game?  I can't listen to it or see it, so that is the only way that I would be able to follow the game.

Thanks in advance.

For what it's worth (which is not much), the spread on the OAC Pick-em's is Stevens Point (+16.5)

And 57% of the guys have picked Whitewater to cover.

I'd be very surprised to see Whitewater struggle tomorrow.

Is is wrong of me to find this comforting?  Aren't you the one who sets the spread in the OAC Pick em's and aren't you notoriously accurate week in and week out?   ;D

Also interesting how Pat and the guys referred to the revenge factor AND the west regional rankings, "snub," when writing about today's match up.  The first one is a given but regarding the rankings snub, mathematical explaination or not, if I am the coach, I'd make damn sure that is how the players looked at it.   ;)

He is the one and you are right. I am one of those (43%) who think that
UWW wins but not by 17 pts. I think it will be by 14 points, but who knows!

thanks voice,

but I can't use streaming audio or video where I'm at (big no no) uses too much bandwith.  So I was hoping for live stats.

Guess I will be at the mercy of the Post Pattern board for updates.

excellent,  thanks 02

Hey78,
You know that there is a WIAC game time update board, right?  02 has posted the 1st half but is gone for 2nd half so I will try and keep you up on scoring on that board.
