I know the Stars are really out of alignment now when I agree with what you said Bobo. I have already covered this with a response to Bleed but I couldn't let this post go with out giving it +K when deserved. It was the right thing to do. Anybody really in the know should be angered by the needless penalty #3 caused that probably cost a shot at another TD rather than settle for a FG!. ;)

Well, thanks raider - that means a lot and sort of negates the pile of -K collateral damage I've endured since I posted that video (like when I post my picks on the OAC pickem contest.)  :)

But, I got to tell you and the others, BP is right on this one, the warm fuzzy, group hug, lovey-dovey thing going on right now is giving me the creeps - kinda makes me want to go out and play pictionary with the neighbor couples...or go watch a Barney dvd...or attend a wine tasting/centerpiece making party.  Someone pinch me...this IS only a dream, right?  Can we please get back to the way it used to be?  ;)

You have to forgive Raiderguy for his lack of humor.  He's obviously been spending too much time with the SJU folks in MN.

+ karma.
Imagine my surprise, logging on and seeing that the WIAC board has become such a happy place!   ;) :D  :) ;) :D

I normally will give -K for those who beg for K or cry and complain about losing it.  But since Thanksgiving is so close and I am in a giving mood, +K 4U this one time.

02 Warhawk

Pulled this from the Oshkosh student paper today:

The Warhawks ran up the score with a rushing touchdown by C.J. Miller after picking up a first down near the end of the game that would have allowed them to just take a knee to run out the clock.

[Coach] Cerroni said the play did not upset him, and it is just part of the game at this level.

"I don't get caught up in all that," Cerroni said. "That's college football. I'm not mad at [Coach Lance Leipold]. We should have stopped them."

Glad to see coach Cerroni take the high road rather than taking the bait that journalist dangled in front of him.....

Thank you 02 for posting this! Now there is a coach that's easy to root for! Coach Cerroni's response was PERFECT!

Oshkosh gives up a 60 yard kickoff return, by 'gosh, so UWW starts on Oshkosh 28. They hand the ball off 4 times to their 3rd string running back and he scores.

Glad the coach didn't take the bait.

The whole political correctness of worrying about hurting people's feelings is ridiculous and has no place in college football. It has no place in the military either, but that's a different board!  >:(

Maybe the journalist should cover....oh never mind!  ;D

Sakman 1111

Well, this week if the opportunity arises I would love to see the Warhawks actually run up the score on LaCrosse......don't like them and they don't like us....Pound the Rock guys and monkey stomp LAX......

totally agree with you on both points,  I hate what has happened to some parts of the military.

QuoteSamplawski should be reprimanded for trying to run up the score ~ how dare him to try to run a kickoff back with a 33-7 lead with 3:00 left.  He should've called a fair catch at the 14!!

Coach Cerroni not only handled the question well, he by his response recognized that his team did not make the stop, and these players all want to do well in a game regardless of whether it is at the beginning or end of the game.

Exactly! I'm sure that there are certain threads that run through the most successful programs. I would have to believe demanding accountability would be high on the list.

It is a really long season for the backups on a football team. They work hard every day in practice without the fun of seeing the field very often every Saturday. When they get the opportunity, they deserve to at least run the offense and try to be successful.  If an opposing coach wants to develop a successful team, he'd better teach them to play 4 quarters.

Again, my hats off to Coach Cerroni.
