Can't see Beckwith ... also known as Mr. 14 interceptions.
What the hell was that?  That was a Drop-kick.  Drop-kick? How much is that worth?  Three points.  THREE POINTS?!

I was just listening to the Warhawk Coaches Show. If you haven't listened, you should.  Anyway, the good news is the Cannon Guy will be at the Perk on Saturday...the bad news...he'll be outside the fence.  So rather than hearing

BOOM  it'll sound more like BOOM  :D ;D ;)

The cannon guy cracks me up...he can always be found roaming the perking lot prior to each game. Looking for anyone willing to listen about his cannon. Good guy though, don't get me wrong.

I guess during playoff games he uses a mortar cannon, it's easier for his car to lug it up the hill, compared to the usual cannon....or so he told me  8)

When does the All-Conference team usually get published/voted on?

All-conference. Donovan player of the year. Leipold coach of the year.

Surprised Donovan got the POY honors...I guess his Effeciency/TD to INT ratio spoke volumes to the coaches.

I still think the MVP for UWW is it's O-line. Three sacks given up....unreal!!! Not to mention the holes they are giving Coppage.

Sakman 1111

02 I agree totally with you.....O line is the MVP and Dinkel coach of the year.....Pound the Rock!!!......

Voice says that Jim Zebrowski was named the WIAC Assistant Coach of the Year, http://www.warhawkfootball.com/newswire.asp.  I think that it is well-deserved. Seems that this year's team is spreading the ball around to all of its weapons and is a more wide-open and unpredictable.

+ Beckwith 90 more attempts for only 80 additional yards.  :o
Give Donovan 90 more throws at his efficiency, he would have blown this wide open.  His only real challenger as POY was/is Coppage.  Donovan's a senior, Coppage a sophomore...nod goes to Donovan.  Coppage will get his one or two awards before it's all said and done.  ++ Donovan led this team to a 41-14 beating of Beckwith's team in the head to head and did the same with everyone else. IMO, this was as much a no-brainer as there ever could be.

Seems to be at least one former Muskie who has a differing opinion about Coach Zebrowski (taken from NAC page):

These guys are hungry and everyone can say what they want but they are going to come after Whitewater. There's some guys on the offense that can make some plays, got some hustlers on special teams, and if the Defense can show up and come full force we will be in good shape. Make a miarcle happen. Stranger things have happened. Zebrowski's offense is predictable anyway.

What a difference your zip code can make.  ;)  :D  ;D

"Zembrowski's offense is predictable anyway."

Totally predictable yet still managing to average just over 500 yards a game against competition considerably better than anyone Lakeland has seen.  Is the WIAC full of inept defensive coordinators?

By more wide-open and unpredictable I mean: throwing to the backs (fullback and halfback), handing the ball off to the receiver in motion (a la the "fly offense"), flea-flickers, bringing Blanchard in for a "wild-cat" type formation. And at La Crosse the Hawks "Mt. Unioned" the Eagles with two deep passes to start the game (a la Cecil Shorts in the Stagg Bowl last year).

As I stated previously, the effectiveness of the offense in scoring touchdowns this year can be seen in the decreased number of Schebler FG attempts. I think that reflects the quality of the players and the change in play calling.

I also think the "quality of players" makes Zebrowski's (or anyone's) offense more dynamic. Not predictable like Landland's was (according to Wags40-LC).
