That info came from the baseball boards last season. Frankly, at that time I wrote him off for this football season. He is to be commended on the effort he put in to be in position to do the job he's done this year.  I merely was responding to someone who seemed to think he should have been nominated for the Gag award.

The kid has fooled me since he started at WW. From the start I said he would never be any good. As it turned out, he may well be the best QB at WW ever.

I understand. Just wanted to let readers know that he has some great attributes and encourage them not to judge him on such little data.

As far as the job he's done, he really has become a QB with a great command of the situation. He knows how good his team is and he does a great job of finding the right receiver and minimizing mistakes. He throws very few stupid passes. Of course I have no doubt he would credit his receivers and O-Line for much of his success. 3 total sacks (and that's against the UWW team, I'm not sure if they were all Donovan or not) is ridiculous. Heck, even Mount Union QB's have been sacked 13 times.

Place Kicking Advantage UWW
IWU field goals   3-11.
IWU extra points  30-40

UWW field goals:  9-10
UWW extra ponts:  65-67

This statistic made me laugh out loud. WOW, a 27% field goal accuracy and 75% extra point accuracy? I now appreciate Schebs that much more lol.

At that extra point rate, I wonder if it makes sense just to go for two?

I already pointed out a couple of days ago that the Titan kicking game is a terrible weak spot.  For the first round playoff game, they FINALLY replaced the kicker, and went 5 of 5 in PATs.  The new kicker did however still miss his only FG attempt (from only 30 yards).

Placekicking is still a grievous weak spot (I doubt there will be any FG attempts), but at least the nightmare on PATs seems to have been vanquished.

Recruited from the soccer team?  Held an open tryout?  ;)

If you were going to commend him it might have been nice if you did it when you took your shot at him.

IWU's coach on the Wabash game last week:

They were the biggest offensive line we had faced all year," Eash indicated following Saturday's game. "We went into the game a little worried that they might wear us down."

Not sure on the size of Wabash but wait till he shows up at the Perk saturday...UWW's O-line averages about 280lbs a lineman. ranging anywhere from 6'0" to 6'5"

Sakman 1111

Coolers and tent packed for 6:00A.M. departure from Chi-Town to the Perk. Chili,Italian beef, and sausage on the menu. Should be a great day in the Perk lot.....now we need a monkeystomping on the field to make the day perfect. Pound the Rock boys.....See you tomorrow in the A.M........No matter how you see them Flash it was a comment that was totally unnecessary and somewhat of a cheap shot......

WW must win by 28 for me to win my bet with Augie grad, Tom Hoder. All I have to do is believe all the grandiose comments made on this board by their fans. It helps, though, that I saw them beat RF. Also, that Kevin Bullis, former Falcon D coordinator, is now coaching for WW.

Grandiose per dictionary.com:

1.   affectedly grand or important; pompous: grandiose words.
2.   more complicated or elaborate than necessary; overblown: a grandiose scheme.
3.   grand in an imposing or impressive way.
4.   Psychiatry. having an exaggerated belief in one's importance, sometimes reaching delusional proportions, and occurring as a common symptom of mental illnesses, as manic disorder.

Surely you weren't referring to definition #4 of us are you Fred?  ;D

Fred, are the comments made by Warhawk fans really grandiose if you, yourself can confirm their validity?  :-\   Though I'm certain you'll win your bet, part of me wants you to come up a point short!!  ;) :P

One the other hand, here's an example of a full-fledged, 100%, truely grandiose comment covering all 4 definitions above. These are the pretentious words from a novice, highly charged up Linfield poster (with no emoticon, I assume they are serious); for more like it, I'd invite you to the NCW chat room, there's a good number of them (honestly, this is a real comment from today - I couldn't make this stuff up!):

QuoteWith due regard for your feelings, wishes, rights, or traditions, I certainly respect your desire for wanting the Cru to prevail.  Having the Cats score 28 first quarter points is not unusual. It's happened to good teams with more than eleven years of well-earned tradition. Strange occurrences happen while in the Catdome. Visitors are overwhelmed by the spaciousness of the facility; they develop an illusion as if they're playing outdoors. And before you know it....  the D has given up 28 points.

The IWU offense will score 40 or more points on UWW defense. This will shock the D3 world, as IWU IS A LOT BETTER THAN YOU THINK! 70 points by UWW , PLEASE! THEY WILL BE LUCKY TO GET 20.

I think wackyjade has been partaking in too much of the wackyweed.  LOL

I think wacky is just putting bait out there to rile up the UWW backers. Or maybe some false bravado to help him feel better about tomorrow's game. Doing the math, he is saying UWW will be "lucky" to come within 20 of IWU. Come to think of it, maybe he HAS been partaking a little too much....   8)
