Is it safe to assume the next round will be in Whitewater??? I heard that after the second round the home teams will be announced based on certain criterias, since there are no seeds this post-season.

Watched the first half of the game at my dad's work office while visiting the family in IL. the fam doesn't have internet, so we made a short trip to my dad's office with my brother and watch the game over the web. What a kick by Schebler to end the half, that kick turned the momentum right back to whitewater's favor, especially after IWU recovered a redzone fumble and scored on a long pass play to pull within 7.

win, advance, stay healthy....repeat.   ;D

Keep things rolling!!

I totally agree win, advance, stay healthy, (oops we lost a starting RB).......repeat. ;)

Not sure why you want to repeat(assumes last years results)  but I'll take it. ;D

Not to quibble too much with Mr Hunt, but I wonder how many D III stadia he has seen, and is he qualified to judge the Percolator the "finest?" He was also taken by the fact that UWW football players were primarily from Wisconsin. I think that you will find that to be the case throughout D III, and probably on an even greater scale for a high number of programs. Despite that nitpicking, I agree with his assessment for the most part, and do find the exposure as a good thing.

Michael Hunt writes an opinion column. I highly doubt there is an opinion columnist anywhere who limits his or her opinions to topics in which he/she has complete, first hand knowledge. Perhaps you are questioning the fact that his statement was worded in a way in which it reads like a fact, not an opinion. But the opinion that the Perk is the finest D3 Stadium in the nation is shared by many and is by no means a stretch. "Finest" is in the eye of the beholder, and in his column, he IS the beholder!

One of the main "points" of the article was that UWW football is a state treasure. It is in that context that he rightfully pointed out that this national powerhouse is mostly a bunch of Wisconsin kids having great success on the national stage. The article is great exposure for one of the premier football programs in the nation.

Other than a few souls with sour grape syndrome, there is very little not to like about UWW football!  ;D

bleed. What about it's arrogant fans who seem to take every perceived slight and make mountains out of molehills, and act as though all other programs are so inferior they should just pack it in and not play the game anymore?

Don't know any of those. Such a perception would be symptomatic of the famous Sour Grape Syndrome.  ;D

Because it is impossible for some of us to get quite enough UWW Football, I've created a new blog. The first posting is an early week preview of the Wittenberg Tigers.

You could say that about any successful program.   With winning comes confidence (if it's your team) / arrogance (if your the opponent) and jealousy from those that wish their team was that good.  Nothing new.
I find easily offended people rather offensive!

I believe that free beer has been served in the Coulthart Family Pavailion.  They have also been offering free food.  However I haven't personally partaken of any.

...I think he was referring to the MUC running back.

"Mike Hunt please come to the office"......"If Mike Hunt is in the building, please come to the office"......."Has anyone seen Mike Hunt?".....

Nice post and and great first blog.  Good background on Witt.  I think we are looking at about 38-7 for UWW.  I am not even a UWW fan, but come playoff time it really only is UWW and Mt. that I see getting to the promise land.  Good luck UWW from the WIAC.
