Wildcat11 - come on down.  And bring some friends.  Let's make it a real big game atmosphere in the stands, too.
What the hell was that?  That was a Drop-kick.  Drop-kick? How much is that worth?  Three points.  THREE POINTS?!

Kitchen,

As game day gets closer let me know where to go and I'll be sure to swing on by.  Looking forward to the game......I don't think it takes a football Mensa member to know the Linfield will be big under"cats" but I'm hoping we can represent have have a punchers chance.

Agree with you Barber about the attitude of some of the Tigers, especially a couple LB's. One of them acted like he just won a free trip to Disneyland for winning Super Bowl MVP when he stopped AA after a 4 yard gain and a first down in the 2nd quarter? What was that? The fact that Anderson scored the next play made it look even more silly!!

My personal favorite was when one of them got all pumped up that he made a "stop" but really it was a first down.... get a grip..

Well it was a good game, IMO we played down to Wittenberg in the first half and right in the beginning of the third quarter. Dropped passes, oline giving up the two sacks and going for some bombs when recievers were open for the first down (especially on one play in the third quarter where the fullback was wide open and Donovan went for a deep pass well out of bounds). Their offense got away with a lot of clipping in the first half as well. But overall they played a good game, a lot better than I thought they would.

As for Linfield if they play the way they did today they will be in trouble. Coppage will run the ball a lot better than UST did today and we'll pass a lot better too without giving up many (if any) turnovers. They could easily have a good passing day against us but I can see that being ironed out this week. I still think Linfield will show up but I see us winning by about 24. Prediction UWW wins 38-14.

Hey Stealth
Since you're so denigrating of Linfield football....lets all be sure you're the first one on here next Saturday telling us all how unimpressed you are if the Cats win.  I for one don't know if we will win, but you can be sure that this game won't be over until the last tick of the clock.
Don't forget your booties cause it's cold out there!

Can't wait until Linfield comes to Whitewater next week. After the great way we were treated in Oregon in 2005 we invite Linfield fans or parents to stop by for a libation.......Happy Birthday to Warhawk Chuck ......

Any advice to a Linfield fan in choosing between a flight to Milwaukee versus flying to Madison? Appears to be about equidistant from Whitewater. Are either set of roads better, faster, etc. in getting to Whitewater?

Not wild about the expected 20-degree weather next weekend (I live in Phoenix, AZ), but a hopelessly faithful Cat fan wouldn't miss a playoff game. The Whitewater game at the Catdome 4 years ago was classic. I can only hope a similar great game occurs next Saturday.

Won't matter much, but I'd say Madison is a little bit closer.  If I were you I'd try Madison, but Milwaukee might give you more options and be a little bit cheaper. Madison has the advantage of being small enough that you can zip right off the plane grab your bag, and be on your way in minutes.

Maybe DLK can hook me up with a charter flight?  :)

Maybe arrange lodging, too, in one of his better establishments!!   ;)

Weather for Saturday....minus nine low, plus seven high.
If you can't ignore an insult, top it; if you can't top it, laugh it off; and if you can't laugh it off, it's probably deserved.

We also switched over to the Linfeild/St. Thomas games. 3 observations. The announcers suck, the video feed sucked and it will be a verrrrrrrrry long day for Linfeild if they can't get at least some sort of run game going. We were not impressed with any part of thier game. IMHO

I'll comment---our announcer seems to be losing his vision because each year he has a harder time seeing the plays and making the calls.  Depending on who the 2nd guy is (it's been several different guys this year), they somtimes cover for him and correct his misses.  As for the video feed--they changed the zoom level and were messing around a lot with cutting between cameras.  The videofeed against MHB was much better but they kind of dropped the ball this week.  I'm loooking foward to the UWW feed as I've heard it's very good.  As for Linfield's team---you don't have to be impressed---but I think you might be after next week. IMHO
Go Cats!

Trony cover someone please because Linfield just put a huge target on your jersey.

Linfield - YES please throw at the target on No. 7's back!!!  Despite the back-to-back miscues in 1st half vs Wittenberg, Troney has played with all-american numbers this season.  Far and away led the WIAC in pass break-ups this season and is among the top tackling cornerbacks in the country.  I HOPE Linfield challenges Toney all day long.

GO HAWKS!

Chicago should be considered as well.  I have a vendor in Janesville, and I have made that flight/trip a few times.  Pretty painless if you time it right.  I would guess ORD would be cheaper even then Madison or Milwaukee.

Ordinarily you'd be right, but lately O'Hare was been more expensive than Milwaukee or Madison.  I think O'Hare is charging the airlines larger fees over the last year to pay for their renovations.  I'd avoid O'Hare unless you got a great price.

Rockford is another airport to consider.
