"That would be the city of Madison...inside the Badgers' practice facility. They have practiced in it over the last several years during their playoff run when weather is bad"

Oh, so the Warhawks don't want to really play in that weather either, huhhhhhh

Actually, they just hit so darn hard in the cold, they want to save the punishment for the other team!  ;D

Warhawks have made a habit of playing in the stuff for the last 5 years, they understand it, know what it takes to win in it, and the challenges it presents. Plus, with a field covered with snow, WHY would you practice on it when Alverez offers his nice place?  With the 'hawks out of town, it gives the stadium maintainance crew & warhawk baseball team a chance to clear the field and the home seating area of the snow and pile it up in the visitor seating, ah, I mean standing, area! Just another free service we provide.  ;)

Ever notice when posters "will" their team to win they talk incessantly... trying to convince themselves and others their team "will" win when in reality they really express fear? What is fear? Isn't it realizing something can happen that one doesn't want to happen? Either team is capable of winning, and I will make an astounding prediction: one will.

A couple of thoughts WarHawk posters that haven't thought much about in your analysis of Linfield: 1) Speed "speed kills." Is UWW capable of controlling Linfield's speed and quickness? If you can, maybe you win. 2) Intelligence. Is UWW capable of making game time adjustments against an opponent that historically is brilliant and can think? If you can, maybe you win. 3) Fundamentals. Are UWW players to a man well versed in fundamentals (blocking, tackling, maintaining discipline) as well as Linfield? If you are, maybe you win.

Speed, intelligence, and fundamentals are the tools the Cats will bring to the Perk this Saturday. Tighten up your jock straps boys. Talk is cheap. Fear is absolute.

I think UWW's track record over the past 5 seasons plainly shows UWW is not a bunch of plodding Wisconsin kids, whos coaches can't adjust or come up with a good game plan.  Holy smokes....

Can we just get to game at this point?

I know you are just yanking our chain LuavilleCat, but as long as you are going to put the ball on the tee for me, I'll pull out my driver:

I have no doubt UWW Coach Leipold will work all week at erasing all that FEAR that undoubtedly permeates the shuddering Hawks as they tremble at the very thought of facing the fast, smart, and fundamentally sound group of Wildcats.

The Wildcats Speed, intelligence, and fundamental execution have allowed the Wildcats to:

1. Give up 165 more points than UWW in one LESS game.
2. Throw 4 more interceptions than UWW in one LESS game.
3. Fumble 4 more times than UWW in one LESS game.
4. Commit 4 more penalties than UWW in one LESS game.
5. Punt 9 more times than UWW in one LESS game.
6  Score 10 less TD's than UWW (oh that's right, they played one LESS game.)
7. Give up 23 more TD's than UWW in one LESS game.
;D ;D ;D

Seriously Luaville. I expect UWW to summon up the courage to show up on Saturday. And when they do, they will show you what they bring to the football field. And heading the list will be an absolute absence of fear. I promise.

The UW-Whitewater football team continues to go through an idenity crisis...
First it was Wisconsin-Wakefield in the USA Today...
Now come this blurb in the Portland Tribune Dec. 5 sports section...
The Wildcats (12-0) will travel to Wisconsin-Whitewater (13-0) on Saturday, Dec. 12. Wisconsin-Whitewater, from Appleton, beat Wittenberg 31-13 in Saturday's quarterfinals.

I just find it interesting that a paper in Portland would even cover a game between a team from Wisconsin and a team from Idaho!

Why do they even bother if they can't get even the simple facts correct?
