I'm not making predictions. I do know that this will be one whale of a game. But here is something that has impressed me about the team I root for, 6 of their 12 wins have been against teams that were ranked in the top 25 at the time Linfield beat them.
#4 Hardin-Simmons
at #21 Occidental
at #22 Willamette
#22 Cal Lutheran
#7 Mary Hardin-Baylor
#10 St. Thomas

That's definitely impressive. You should be proud of them. The Wildcats have had a fantastic season! As I've posted before, the fans of each of the four remaining programs should enjoy every minute. There are fans of MANY programs that would love to be in our shoes right now.

The UW-Whitewater football team continues to go through an idenity crisis...
First it was Wisconsin-Wakefield in the USA Today...
Now come this blurb in the Portland Tribune Dec. 5 sports section...
The Wildcats (12-0) will travel to Wisconsin-Whitewater (13-0) on Saturday, Dec. 12. Wisconsin-Whitewater, from Appleton, beat Wittenberg 31-13 in Saturday's quarterfinals.

Yikes...that would be like someone calling Linfield "The Tigers"  ;)

THAT could explain the intensity of games against Oshkosh! ;)

"Seriously Luaville. I expect UWW to summon up the courage to show up on Saturday. And when they do, they will show you what they bring to the football field. And heading the list will be an absolute absence of fear. I promise. "

SERIOUSLY, You think you can keep a promise for another person or a whole team....surely you jest...or are you suffering from FIM desease. ;D ;D ;D

So just in case anyone has any doubt....yes, I am joking with bleedpurple.
Don't forget your booties cause it's cold out there!

I haven't posted since the end of July.  Just wanted to express my excitement for this weekend's match-up.  I feel confident that we will have another excellent ball game, just as we did in 2005.  I hope all of the fans from Linfield have a great time in our state.  We always have a blast in the parking lot (before the game, during half time and after the game) :).  I hope that my teammates from the '05 team will be in full force Saturday.

I think we will see an excellent ball game and I look forward to seeing you all as we PACK THE PERK!

Go 'HawksBeat Linfield.
We don't rebuild.  We reload.  Finish the mission.

It's the portion of episode 1 of Get Smart with Don Adams when they introduced the Cone of Silence...one of the great, TV comic gags created by Buck Henry and Mel Brooks.

Yours with the dome kitty tent is great, too. LOL  :D ;D  ;)
