Vince Kehres's wife (a old friend from High School and Capital) posted this on Facebook:

Vote for VK for D3 coordinator of the year:
http://www.footballscoop.com/?page_id=1379

Interesting that 2 of 3 choices are MUC grads- VK and Zebrowski and that all 3 have ties to Ohio with Waddle from Witt as the other candidate.

You can all vote for Zebrowski if you wish, but I posted this to the OAC and NCAC boards as well. :)

I wonder if this might be another year in which Camp Randall is used to host a UW-Somebody play off game. They can clear that faster than The Perk.

This is one of the reasons I believe UWW laid down field turf, games in Dec...in the snow...they're not going to move the game to Madison... They're probably well on their way to having it ready for practice today. Those guys working on it at UWW are good at getting the place ready to play.

When La Crosse moved their game with Mount back in the mid 90's to Camp Randall, totally different situation - it snowed heavily at mid-week on a normal GRASS field that had already been beaten up badly. They knew it would be impossible to have it ready.

According to the NCAA stats page, which I'm currently looking at, Linfield's QB, or Rocketman as I guess they call him, in pass efficiency, is the lowest ranking QB remaining in the field, ~ and by a wide margin (over 10 points south of his Wesley counterpart, 30+ points behind Donovan, & over 50+ behind Rocco of MUC on the rating scale). I guess what he lacks in pass efficiency he makes up though a very active PR machine ~ there he is the best by far.  ;)

Good call BoBo.  Boehme is a horrible QB and can barley get it 15 yards down the field.  Add the fact that he has two left feet that are usually in concrete and what you get is a crap QB.  It's a miracle the guy has thrown for any TD's this year.  However, the one thing he has going for himself is that he's been consistently been able to remain academically eligible every semester of the year.  ;)

OK OK everyone settle down,  I think all of you will need to visit JanesvilleFlash in the parking lot on Sat. Reach into the trunk of his caddy, have a beer and have a good time.

Have one for BOBO and me since neither of us will be at the game.

How about some team analysis?  I like to look at the defenses when the playoffs are rolling:

TDs given up - Lin 38, UWW 15
FG attempts given up - Lin 5, UWW 3
Punts forced - Lin 57, UWW 73
4th down stops - Lin 13, UWW 23
Ints - Lin 30, UWW 18
Fumble recoveries - Lin 17, UWW 8

(Remember, Linfield 12 games, UWW 13 games)

K-Sink, somehow we have to factor in the toughness of the cats schedule that was mostly played away from their dome stadium, into those numbers?  Otherwise, stats are  meaningless.  ;) :D ;D

do what everyone else does for packer games or december warhawk games...start off with a layer of regular socks...then the insulated socks...then the insulated boots for the feet

long underwear...a pair of pants...and snow pants are optional depending on how cold your legs get...

usually wear underarmour or something of the sort with 2 more layers of shirts preferably a one being a sweatshirt with a hood on it...and then a very heavy coat...

or you can do what all of the wisconsin people do...wear tennis shoes...a long sleeve t shirt with a coat and a pair of jeans and one heavy layer or alcohol in your system and you should be just fine!

there...you got a serious answer

Dens I am sure you can take your board to the game and surf the wave at the gymormus stadium that we are going to.
I'm sure Dens has been prepping by surfing early in the AM this week---it's been [joking] really cold down here with highs only in the 50's [/joking] the last few days--we even had water falling out of the sky....don't know what that's about.....
Go Cats!

Barber Greene

Bring the hand and foot warmers. Especially the foot warmers.  I have sat through a couple of games where my feet were in a pile of snow. They do the best they can to remove the snow from the seats but a lot usually remains where you put your feet.

Thanks baseball team for your work in removing the snow!

WOW Bobo those stats are amazing simply amazing !!

In fact I will be calling Coach Smith right now and telling him to cancel the Cats flight because Bobo is just going to pick a score and PHONE IT IN rather than playing the game on  Sat

They have better stats A more athletic QB (not academic), its too cold for our Cats, Its Windy.  We play ghost defense, we have no running game, the ball will be to hard for our guys to catch because of the cold, our kickers will hurt their feet kicking a cold and hard ball.  and on and on and on

Good news, Perkins Field is already cleared of snow.  The webcam has some ice on it but you can see some of the field.

Don't do that Gig.  Based on the Linfield poster's comments we've already told Coach Liepold to forget about playing.  If you don't show up no one will be there and there will nothing for us to watch.  If you showed up we could at least watch your guys practice and prepare for Mount Union.
