Something tells me I should not start but I just flicked it off my shoulder and the little devil guy on the other shoulder has my ear....

QuoteI was sitting amidst some inebriated former Warhawk players, who might have taken me to task were I to be too vocal about my leanings) I came away thinking that this was the year for UWW. By the way, the former Warhawk players included a cameo by Justin Beaver, who was not inebriated, and left that little gang quickly.

Was it then they started yelling for every mother and child in the DIII nation to hear

YOU F***ED UP!   ???

Maybe I did not hear it correctly through all my bundling.
But you and I know I did.

I didn't year You ****ed Up since 06, they did that a lot my freshman year but after that I haven't heard it at all. I heard people chanting U Dub Dub a lot yesterday though. The student classes were a lot more roudy in the past, we've been very tame since then. lol

I thought Donovan was dead after this play.  ;)

After two incredible catches last week Adam Brandes pulls this off yesterday.

He probably did too.

Kudos to Buzzy. Impressive accuracy with a very unorthodox delivery. He really, really snaps that ball with the half wind-up he has perfected.

Danny Jones, whom people who know him hold in high regard, IMHO, was a Hessian, a mercenary, a Blackwater employee. JD appears ready to leave that 'lil 'ol DIII school short of graduation for a baseball chance. That, IMHEducatedO classifies him as a Hessian, a mercenary, a Blackwater employee, as well.

Logic dictates after he unwound from that hit he was thinking about his baseball future.  I applaud him that he came back and did his job.

I sat down this afternoon and started reading some of the posts made since the game ended last night.  I'm really suprised and disappointed in some of the comments our Warhawk "Faithful."  Are we really going to hop on the internet and rip our team for WINNING a NATIONAL SEMI-FINAL????  Are you kidding me!?!?

News flash:  WE ARE NOT GOING TO WIN EVERY GAME BY 40.

Its Linfield College.  Are we not familiar with "The Game?"  This is not some rinky dink organization.  They have a recent National Championship and several deep play off runs.  They run a spread offense.  You are going to give up passing yards.  Its understood as a defensive player.  When you play teams that throw the ball effectively, you  will give up yards, but you must stop the big plays and minimize the damage on the score board.  When I played for Brian Borland, our defense's goal was to hold teams to 17 or less.  How many points did we give up?  Oh yeah, SEVENTEEN.  We didnt give up 45 points.  We gave up 17.

Lets figure it out, Whitewater fans.  We're talking about college kids here.  You cannot get on the internet and rip non-scholarship athletes for anything, let alone winning.

See you in Virginia.  Go 'Hawks.
We don't rebuild.  We reload.  Finish the mission.

I cannot ask Eric Kosterman for any leeway on this board, nor should he give it.
The highlight of my tailgating experience Saturday was having parked next to his father and him. After scolding him  :) for the two tipped passes in 2005 - one which was a perfect cut and return by AJ for the game winner (teamwork) - he tried to take me around to tailgates so I could meet posters who sort of invited us.
Guess not.
I walked every aisle of the south parking lot and stood in front of every tail gate with my LINFIELD colors flying. Zip. Nada.
Eric took me to that big shindig at the NW end because he believed there had been a Sakman sighting there. Some halfway friendly person said to come back at halftime.
We did.
Stood there and shuffled. Finally asked, "May we try a brat?"
NO ANSWER.
Took one off the grill without a bun and left.

No tailgating. No friendly banter. B.S.

Right before Boehme broke his long run to be caught from behind by team speed I tried to quip with a bunch of UWW gear in the south end zone area.
Zip. Nada.
Me being impressed does not mean much, does it?
Not impressed, at all.
Except for Eric and his father.

Props to HSCoach, his line for the game was dead on, UWW giving 10.5 points. There's was a moment there in the third quarter where I flinched towards my phone to call and cancel my Ronoake hotel reservations. Good thing I didn't let my knee-jerk reaction get the best of me  ;D.

Great team Linfield has. "Rocketman" played very well, picking apart our D-backs for 278 yards in the air (ouch)...however Donovan was the better QB down the stretch when it counted, throwing some HUGE strikes to lead us back into the game. Boehme seemed to panic a bit and threw two picks late in game to seal UWWs filth stagg bowl appearance! Wittenberg and Linfied definetly made public the blue print to take down the 'Hawks, it's no secret anymore. Once is an anomaly, twice is a pattern....'Hawks DB's are just not getting the job done the past couple of games. Next week it's only going to get tougher...no matter where Shorts lines up: under center or wide out. Need to tighten up!!!

ON TO SALEM!!!!!!

Congrats Whitewater.  Great performance by the 'Hawks in coming back after not being in that position all year long.  It was a fun game to take in once again.  The NWC continues to be close but we all know that only counts in horseshoes and hand grenades.

Good luck in Salem!

University of Wisconsin (Whitewater) is a round peg in the square hole of Division III athletics. Tends to leak around the edges.

No offense intended DOC but you haven't convinced me that you aren't the one who is leaking something around the edges.  Take the loss a little too hard?
