Good luck to the Warhawks...go represent the West!!

Mount is doomed........hopefully I get to hang with some WW guys and get some of that winning spirit BEFORE the game......because afterwards I think it's going to be pretty sad.

bp -  looks like you and I had much the same take on the UWW/Linfield game. Great (or is it twisted) minds think alike.

One more thing for the Warhawk faithful to get their panties in a twist about: The NCAA D III program for these playoffs lists a number of D III Playoff records near the back of the program. It lists most victories in the Playoffs, and seemingly omits UWW. I count 19 wins coming into this years games. What say you?

My understanding is that Rocco was hit so hard that his talent was ejected from his body and flew into the defensive lineman who was standing next to him.  That lineman, although he has never played a down on offense in his life, will be the starting quarterback for MUC in the STAGG bowl and will take over like Micheli did when he stepped in in 2005.  Expect 550 yds passing and a bruising running game with gains over 300 yards cause the guy is 6'4" and 325 lbs and can now run the 40 in 3.7 seconds.

Smoke...and mirrors....

And he also flies the team's plane, right?

I would much rather have Cecil Shorts get the ball in the backfield, in front of the defense....than see him get it behind the defense

Nope--the team climbs on his back and he runs them all down to Salem.

Amen, we already have a pretty good idea of what the behind thing looks like. :D

Well said BG.... Based on last year's last Stagg Bowl, and the past two games, I'm nervous having Shorts line up one-on-one with Troney on the outside. I much rather have him throwing than receiving as well, along with (like you said) having 11 guys dressed in all black between him and the endzone.  ;D

I'm thinking maybe having a safety provide coverage on top when Shorts is a receiver just to provide some help against the big play. Those two big plays were a big difference last year. What did we do to slow Mount down after those plays?

Hey WW gang!  Gosh....isn't this just frickin' GRAND!   ;D  Here we are again........UGH!

Since a few Linfield backers are spouting the same things they did in 2005 (that was the two best teams playing.....time will tell we are the second best team...yada..yada...yada....myopic mutterings.....etc..etc..), can you guys just claim the "Best of all time West Trophy", and Mount will just take home the Walnut & Bronze?  Win-win....right?   ;)

I think WW is at least a solid 10 (if not more) point favorite for this game.  Mount's offense is in shambles, and with the size, speed, and athleticism of WW's offense, Mount's stout defense will wear down at some point.  I can't believe I am going to drive all that way knowing we are in for a beating.  Sigh..........

I wouldn't expect to see too much sympathy on this board about "Mount's offense is in shambles"... :P Besides, Mount's D scares the #%$ out of me.....

I think i see smoke coming from the OAC site and it's blowing in our direction   ;D    ;)

As an MUC supporter, I do have concerns with the UWW offense vs. the Mount D matchup.  The dline is really undersized (tackles are +- 260 lbs., and the DE's are a lot less athletic with Millings not playing.  Last year, WW gave MUC fits when they decided to just line up and run at them.  Mount's team speed is impressive....however, they aren't particularly big/strong at the point of attack.  Pound on them, pound on them, then throw.  If you can be patient, it's the formula vs. this defense.

regardless it should be a good one. this is the first year (out of the last five) where MUC isn't the clear favorite going into the game (even in '07).

I'll be attending my first Stagg Bowl this weekend...really looking forward to it.  :)

Just wanted to hop in real quick and say congrats to the WW faithful and their team this past weekend.  It was a hard fought game, and one for the books.  If I ever get to write those books, I'll change the outcome.

Classy and well prepared team.

I think regardless of the MUC qb situation, the winner of this past weekend will be able to hand a loss to the mUC dynasty this next week.  Good luck, I'll be watching.

See you next year.

Some clarification is necessary. UWW's line is not any larger than Wesley.
UWW may be better than Wesley but not bigger. Their D line was huge as well!
