Caught espn's outside line story about Garcon. Very impressive young man from what Larry Kehres said. Also propts to pat coleman for being on the show. It is always great to have division three football to get some national recognition, and here is to having Garcone be the first division three player to every start in the super bowl. Great athlete and from what his college coach said a great young man. Those highlights and how he broke aways from defenders bring back bad memories however shows how he wa sby far the best player on the field.

He is not the first DIII player to start in the Super Bowl.  I know London Fletcher did for the Rams and there have been others.

And in fact, I noted on the show that Garcon would be the first to start in a Super Bowl since London Fletcher. :)

Didn't get to watch it yet.  I was at work yesterday when I found out about it so I called my father-in-law to ask him to record it for me.  Instead he recorded Sportscenter from 2:17 - 3:00 pm.  I do have a friend who recorded it and is burning me a DVD.

Does you father-in-law happen to work for NCCA.com as well?? I odered the 2009 Stagg Bowl and received Montana vs. Villanova instead   >:(   ;D

Nope, his job is to pack the kids lunches, get them to school and home again.  Funny thing is he used to install satellite systems and should have known how to record a program in the future.

BG if you wait a month you might get the NCAA Final Four Basketball DVD. Marked Joe Montana vs. Phil Villanova in a recycled Jim Hendrix Axis Bold as Love jewel case.

Hmmm...I think I'll wait a month before ordering the DVD. Hopefully the problem will be fixed by then. I've already seen it on ESPN360.  The announcers were pretty good. The color guy kept saying everyone was "playing at a high level". Well, I guess they were!
There's only one way to find out if a man is honest...ask him. If he says 'yes,' you know he is a crook.

Well, now that might be worth the wait!

Maybe the Stagg Bowl 2009 was just a bad dream I had and it really didn't happen.  It seems as there is no video evidence to support that it actually occurred.

Good news...a copy of the 2009 game found its way into my mailbox.  Looks like I'll be able to put together a recap after all.

Are you sure it's the Stagg Bowl and not the DII Championship game?

Pat:
I watched it again as I dvr that show every day. You are right you said he will be the first one to start since london fletcher.
Still I think it's cool that a d3 kid has a potential to start as well as make a big contribution to a NFL team winning the super bowl.
Maybe the rest of the world will relize what we do that d3 athletes are great athletes and the level they play at does not matter.

Yesterday wasn't my day.  After leading the pickem my friend and I have every year for the entire year the Saints' Super Bowl win cost me a pair of steak dinners.  Prior to that the Saints' late second quarter field goal cost me $40 in a pool.  But what was even worse was that Garcon's touchdown cost me $150 in one pool and $40 the other.  grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr

Another person frustrated after having 3 and 0 in the office pool? If so, I'm also in that club. It felt like a setup after awhile. One play – hell, mere feet – in either quarter would have added nicely to my bankroll. Alas ...

That sucks you lost money on Garcons TD, as I won money as one of my co workers said he wouldn't score. I said he would, and I won 200 bucks for it.
I was pissed that the colts lost but the game was exciting. Sean Payton has has balls calling the onside kick which if it didn't work out might have meant the game ending differently.

If you can't ignore an insult, top it; if you can't top it, laugh it off; and if you can't laugh it off, it's probably deserved.

Quarterback seems to be a popular position for transfers.  Danny Jones followed by Matt Blancard and Rump, who came and went.  This year it's Fry and now Woelfel

Just Bill

That makes sense since, QB is probably the easiest position to know where you stand (and therefore transfer if you don't like your position). After all, there's only one of them on the field.  If you are the #2 running back you'll still get a bunch of carries.  If you're the #2 wide receiver you're still a starter.  But if you're the #2 QB, you're waiting for a separated shoulder to give you your chance.
