I still feel that getting smoked in that game had nothing to do with the future success of the program, no matter what Brez said.

Before I was there it sounded like coaches were moved around a lot.  Its very hard to win that way.  Once they got good recruits, a good set staff and great facilities UWW started winning.

Remember that before UW-W became such a dominate force in the WIAC the last 5 years, our parity was legendary.

Along with sub-par playoff performances.  ;)

Any insider info on UWW's schedule?  You can work out the league schedule (albeit with an assumption or two) from the 4 teams that have posted for 2010:

10-2   at Platteville
10-9   Stout
10-16   at Eau Claire
10-23   at River Falls
10-30   Stevens Pt
11-6   at Oshkosh
11-13   La Crosse

So that leaves non-conf ...  ???

Oh, and my DVD did NOT show up yesterday.  Better be there today .....
What the hell was that?  That was a Drop-kick.  Drop-kick? How much is that worth?  Three points.  THREE POINTS?!

I also remember reading in 2002 that UW-Whitewater was the most physical team MUC had played in five years. As well as that according to some of the MUC players it did not seem like a 20 point difference.
To be the best you have to be the best, and thats what brezowitz did he wanted to play the best. Also the majority of the staff that was there in 2002 was there when uww made their run to the stagg bowl in 2005.

Goo 62

Blow in 2002 and 2003 were blow outs.  Games were never close especially in 2002.  I will say in 2003 the game was close for the first 10 minutes.  Getting beat by 20 plus points does not help your program.

The recruiting classes they brought in 2003 and 2004 were really good recruiting classes.  AJ Raebel, Ryan Kleppe, Pete Schmidt,  Andy Murray, Brent Allen, Dan Ansteet, Brady Ramsier, Rob Widuch, Derek Stanly and  Justin Beaver.  Just to name a few.  Not the same type of players they brought in 2000, 2001 and 2002.

Staff was set and set for multiple years.  SAC was built.

All this didnt happen because we played Mt. Union.  Also the years before that we played St. Johns who at that time was right behind Mt. Union.  Also didnt help us.

Let's just blame that on LAX..........well except for the early 90's when they were a powerhouse. Just kidding,    ;) ;D

BTW, your dad is really something special but I am betting, you already knew that.  ;)

Yeah, he's a bit of a wild card on the boards but it's just an act!  :)  He's all heart.  Thanks for the kind words.

2002 and 2003 were both blowouts. The statisitic that they don't tell you about the 2003 game was that UWW had a +4 turnover ratio and still lost by 23. That loss is what I think motivated Coach Brez and the rest of the powers at be to make the improvements that we had over the past 7 years.

I didn't remember that.  Rarely do you see a team with a -4 turnover ratio win a football game.  Amazing.

By the way, if anyone is looking to unload their Montana v. Villanova DVD they erroroneously received from NCAA.com shop...I found a Villanova Message board full of people who are willing to take it off our hands.

I posted a message yesterday on that site asking if anyone wants it, and that I wasn't looking to make any money (just cover the shipping). I received 5 e-mails with a few hours of people wanting the DVD.

Or if you want I can provide you with interested VU fans e-mails who want it.

Just an idea.......

I have no use for the Nova game, so I'll put mine out there.

Maybe I could swap it for a movie DVD or something.

If UW-Oshkosh went 8-2 with losses to just UW-Whitewater and Mount Union, would they be ther first team in history to have two losses and still be a "lock" for an at-large?

Not saying it will happen.

Might be the closest thing to a lock...In fact, if their only conference loss is to UW-Whitewater, nevermind the at-large...they will probably win the WAIC's automatic bid (like Point did in '08 when they beat whitewater).

If their only conference loss was to UWW, then UWW would hold the head-to-head tie-break.  So you are predicting UWW will lose TWICE next year?! :o

You heard it here first, folks! ;D

So now that the final chapter of the DVD has been written ....

Has anyone seen or heard anything about the apparel orders through the QB club?
