Hello I'm new to the boards. I'll be a transfer RB to Platteville in the fall and I don't live anywhere near Wisconsin. Just was wondering what the outlook on UWP was for the upcoming season.
Thanks.

2010 Warhawk captains were recently selected.

Baseball is over, still pretty quiet on your Board, which is somewhat surprizing!

Baseball may be over for Mount Union, but Whitewater baseball typically plays a little deeper into the season. :)

Raider 68, you are banned from the WIAC board for a month!  ;)

They have the Trophy and The Rings right now, you gotta know your place in the pecking order.

That was why our student section was chanting "let's play baseball" in 2005, 2006 and 2008.  :) ;)

Wow, didn't realize Oshkosh also scheduled Central this season as well.

Best of luck to them going up against Central and MUC to start the season. hopefully this will help their program out in the long run. I'm glad to see they're willing to take this chance, good for them.

I would love to see a handful of WIAC teams being consistantly ranked in the top 25 throughout the season. I know that'll be tough since we beat up on each other.

I didn't even know MUC had a baseball team.
I find easily offended people rather offensive!

An update on my son for all you gentlemen who are interested.  After 9 weeks of successful chemo was finished the middle of March, a CAT scan showed that his lymph node had not gone back to normal size as expected but had actually doubled instead.  This meant that he had to have the RPLND surgery that we had to cancel back in January after all to remove the lymph tumor.  We took him back to Dr. Foster at IUPUI in Indianapolis a few weeks ago for this very rare and invasive surgery and I am ecstatic to report that the surgery went well and confirmed that the cancer is gone.  It was a benign tumor and the Dr's told him, "you're done!!!"  He has about a 6-8 week recovery time but this nightmare is officially over and he is cancer-free!  They will monitor him closely for several years as with any cancer, time will be the ultimate test, but his chances of a relapse are very small.  This has been about the toughest road that a man can experience with TC, as he had only about a 15% chance that the surgery would still be needed after chemo, but he made it through, thanks to his wonderfully tough, positive and determined attitude, his great sense of humor that never waned, and all the love, prayers and support from everyone.  Our family has been truly blessed and a huge thanks again to all.  Of all the titles he has earned, All American, UWW record holder, National Champion, this new one is the one I am most proud of.  Cancer Survivor!     ;D
Next up, a trip to Hawaii in June for a much deserved vaca for he and his girlfriend.  My sister-in-law and brother-in-law retired there a few years ago and they have invited A.J. and Lissa to come and stay with them and gave them airline tickets in lieu of donating to his Cure 33 fund.  My husband and I gave them cash for their birthdays a few months ago so this trip of a lifetime won't cost them a dime.  A very generous gift and even more special in light of all they have been through.  Thank you, Aunt Ann and Uncle Steve!   We are also excited that he will be back on the football field this fall as he has been hired as the LB coach at Craig High School in Janeville, WI.  He plans to sub-teach while he pursues teacher certification and generally, re-start his young life after having to push the pause button for the last 8 months.  Thanks again to all and especially Gig Harbor Cat, Raider 68 and D.O.C., Manuel, etc. who supported him regularly on his caring bridge page and reached out to me as well.  You guys and this site are the best!!!!! :-* :-* ;)

My brother-in-law actually bought them non-stop BOTH ways out of O'hare, believe it or not.  A.J. wants to try surf lessons but I doubt that his 14 in. incision will be healed enough by then for that.  Surfing towels and lifting mai tai's on the beach is probably about as strenuous an activity as he will be able to do.   :D
