Simply great news.....our family is familiar with the struggle of a son with cancer and appreciate what you and #33 have been through over the past months. See you at the Perk in September.......

Outstanding news on all fronts, 413!!! Hearing those beautiful words "you're done!!!" must have been the sweetest sound you've ever heard.

When in the islands, I would invite AJ and his lady to check out the Hale Koa Hotel at Waikiki for what I would consider to be the best luau in Hawaii. It's an Armed Forces Recreation Center operated by the Army, but I believe civilians are still permitted at the luau. Singer Glenn Medeiros is the host. Always is a great time when I'm in Honolulu. The Paradise Cove luau at the Ko Olina Resort and Spa near Kapolei (Oahu) is also very good.

Thanks for the info, BoBo. I will pass it along.  My brother and sister-in-law are terrific tour guides so they will be in good hands.  My husband's family lived in Honolulu back in the 50's while his father was stationed there for 4 years in the Air Force so they know Oahu very well.  They will have an amazing time.
Sak, we will toast to our son's TKO'ing this opponent in the Perk this fall. They are both warriors and winners!

The WARHAWK football program is losing Director of Football Operations Andy Harris.  Andy will be assuming the Assistant Director of Football Operations at Big Ten member University of Minnesota.  Andy was a behind the scenes guy who played a vital role in the organization of the football program and he will be missed.  Good luck, Andy, and thanks for all that you've done to help the program achieve the success it's had.

If you can't ignore an insult, top it; if you can't top it, laugh it off; and if you can't laugh it off, it's probably deserved.

Well the first preview magazine is out so if you hadn't already been counting down the days till football season you can start now because its coming soon. Lindy's Sports Annual came out with an article mainly about Mt.Union and UW-Whitewater  but also mentioned Linfield, Wesley, and Trine.

The entire Top 25 is

1. UW-W
2. Mt. Union
3. Wesley
4. Linfield
5 Trine
6 Bethel
7 Delaware Valley
8 St. Johns
9 Wittenburg
10 UMHB
11 Ohio Northern
12 John's Hopkins
13 Central
14 St. John Fisher
15 North Central
16 Ithaca
17 Williamette
18 Thomas Moore
19 Monmouth
20 MC
21 Washington and Jefferson
22 Wartburg
23 Bridgewater
24 Otterbein
25 Augustana

Only 103 days till kickoff!

I think there are a few more polls before the D3 one comes out in late summer, but I do not remember which ones. This poll just reflects IMHO, how the teams pretty much ended 2009. It will be interesting to see how things work out after the first few games or by mid-season! :)

Thanks BoBo! :)

IMO, after about the first 4, take the rest with a grain of salt...my guess the real Pre-season Top 25, when it comes out, will look considerable different than this one.

Any thoughts as to what the "replica" jerseys may look like that are mentioned on warhawkfootball.com?  Any chance of them looking official?  For $90 a jersey I would hope they would.  If anyone has a preview besides what the website shows I would love to see one.

Condolences to the family of Link Walker; long-time WIAC/WSUC fans may remember him as UWEC's head football coach for 19 seasons. He passed away on Friday, age 84...

He had a 104-85-3 record in EC, including his most success during a three-year run during the early '80s (when I was there!), when the 'Golds went 23-7 overall, and 21-3 in conference, with two WSUC championships... Alas, the 1981 team went 9-1 and was ranked #9 in the NAIA, but was in my, and many others' opinions, jobbed of the final playoff spot that year...(long story)
