What the hell was that?  That was a Drop-kick.  Drop-kick? How much is that worth?  Three points.  THREE POINTS?!

D O.C.

He was good enough in the sub 30 temps last December to run up the back of his own lineman, raise his head, and take off for daylight thrusting a sword down the throat of the bull in the meanwhile.

Everyone has their own opinion 38 but that has to be the most lame comment of the year. I will go the opposite way and state that for the last 6 years the Warhawks have had the best running back in the WIAC. Last year I believe as many do that they had the best two running backs in the WIAC. Get ready for 2010 because if what I hear is true they could have the best three running backs in the WIAC......Ask any of the offensive lineman who blocked for them and they will tell you how good the running backs were and are.....When you get down to it what you said is simply ridiculous..... no back from the WIAC would have attained Coppage's stats with the Warhawk line blocking.....

UWW's had the best o-line, for...well...a long time now.

I guess someone in the NAIA is not nearly impressed with the UWW offensive line.

I am only about 40 minutes from the WI Whitewater campus. I have seen about 5 WI Whitewater games over the last few years and actually know the coach that retired. WI Whitewater has been in the National Championship game against Mt Union many times and they have won a few and lost a few.

Although they have a good team I can tell you first hand that the quality of players and the level of play on the line is at a lower level than the top tier NAIA teams. They are closer on some skill positions but overall at a lower level. USF, LU and others at the top would win those games against the Top tier DIII's. Over the last 10 years DIII the competition has been very unbalanced against UWW and MT.U. Just about every year there is a rematch of both of these teams in the National Championship game. So there is a real drop off of the quality of teams after the top 4 or 5 teams in DIII.

What's a ticket cost to an NAIA playoff game?
I'd pay to see MUU,UWW, LINFIELD, play St. Francis and Carroll.

Considering the (NAIA) source, it's par for the course, wc11!!  :o  As you said over there, they would get a different opinion on this board - and the W/L record speaks for itself.   ;)

Just gotta love what that one nimrod wrote:

QuoteMt. union/wisc-whitewater are the kings of glorified competitive club/intramural college football and thats great, but it just does not compare to the naia.

There must be a win/loss tally of all DIII versus NAIA games in the last 5-10 years or so?

The winning percentage is in DIII's favor...i assume?

Just Bill

It's the D-III record vs. NAIA, not the NAIA record vs. D-III. So, yes.

Just making sure I got my facts striaght for those NAIA fans who think DIII is a "glorified competitive club/intramural college football" program.

that comment got my blood boiling a little  ;)

Sakman 1111

Ask St. Xavier if they think Whitewater is a glorified intramural program.......
