I visited a couple of NAIA schools back in the late 80's when deciding on a school.  The big "knock" then was that the NAIA had NO drug testing policy and that Steroids were rampant.   After a quick Google search that still appears to be true (the no drug testing policy):

NAIA Leaves Drug Testing up to Member Schools

Except for NCAA Championship events, so does the NCAA.  They don't have any kind of in-season policy at all.  It's up to the schools to test or not test as they see fit.

There's a pilot program in the works, though. The major barrier is that it's just plain expensive to do.

Maybe not all.  I stumbled upon this (?) Dodge Challenger in a garage at night last week and EVERYTHING was flat black. The rims (EVERYTHING) were about 30 inches/the tires about 2.
The valet said it was a 2011 but I doubt that.

I'm thinking of importing a stadium supply of Vuvuzelas for Perkins Stadium this fall...they should compliment the cannon quite nicely, I believe. Well actually, it might make Warhawk opponents love the cannon, instead!!  ;)

Is it appropriate to call the performance enhancing drugs when the team goes 3-5?  ;)

Happy 58th birthday to my friend, Gino Vannelli.

Black Cars do look better in the shade!!

(my little brother was on his road crew beginning in the early 1970's)
Oh wow. BoBo.   Gino is one of my all time favorites, and "Brother to Brother," is one of the best albums of all time, IMHO!  8-)  First time I heard him was when, "Gist of the Gemini," was playing in a record store back in the 70's and we said to the guy, "who is that?"  Bought it on the spot and everything he has ever done since!   8-)

My connections in Canada inform me that they were, at best, an 2-6 team, w/o the stuff!!  ;)  :D

I am not sure if many of the more senior fans at UWW and Mount have the wind to blow on those horns! Stick to the cannon and we will have the Mount band continue to play the OSU "Hang on Sloopy" :)

Nope, it was all about the music and the voice.  If I were so easily won over by just hair, I would have become a Michael Bolton fan.  ;)

c'mon...there are millions made by the BCS and NCAA through bowl games and conference championship games each year so I don't buy the "it is too expensive" excuse (or flat out lie). Not to mention all the free perks the collegiate players receive for playing in bowl games (xboxes, etc). There is plenty of money to pay for drug testing.

The real problem is, for the BCS and NCAA, there is no return on investment for flipping the bill for drug testing...so why would they push for it? Yes, it is the right thing to do but that isn't enough to overcome their greed.

Division III gets no money from BCS or any Division I FBS college football. That money is not shared with the NCAA.

Precisely...there in lie's the issue. Plenty of money is being made...just in the hands of people with no interest in drug testing as they will get no return on that investment.
