Just For The Laughs, this one is worth reading, IMO!! ;)

Not quite the role models like in my era - of Starr, Staubach and Unitas...

Serious questions people...has anybody received a malicious website alert from you computer antivirus program when trying to access D3boards.com? I use a Korean antivirus software called Alyac. Each time I've tried to get on this site in the past couple days, a warning box pops up telling me my personal and financial information (?) is at risk if I go here. I'm not sure what to make of it. Anybody else experiencing any similar problems?

I'm getting it here in Wis. about once a week or more. Am starting to think maybe I should dump my addiction to this site.
If you can't ignore an insult, top it; if you can't top it, laugh it off; and if you can't laugh it off, it's probably deserved.

In the past week, we've upgraded the message board to patch a hole and removed the malware. I am hopeful that antivirus software will eventually catch up and take us off their list.

I'm also a little concerned that my AV software never threw off a warning. :)

Some research last night turned up one more remnant. Purple Heys over on the IIAC board said he got an all-clear because of the fix.

Jeff Schebler and Kevin Garvoille put together an impressive workout for an Omaha Nighthawk (UFL) scout last week in Whitewater.

Schebler hit 10 of his 11 field goal attempts, missing only his attempt from 55 yards. Schebler ended his workout by nailing a 60 yarder right down the middle.

Garvoille is a great story.  The former Warhawk long snapper. The following is from the Milwaukee Journal-Sentinel's NFL Pro Day story from last March's Madison Combine:  One player who did garner some interest was former Whitewater long snapper Kevin Garvoille, who graduated in 2004 and is now 30. But several teams were impressed with his workout. One scout found it hard to believe no one had signed Garvoille previously.   Garvoille possesses NFL quality snap times.

Omaha currently has just one kicker and no long snapper on its roster.

So, has it been a case of being in the wrong place at the wrong time with him? What in your opinion might be the reason no one has signed Garvoille previously, given his ability?

A player signing their first NFL contract at the age of 30 and making an opening day roster would probably be the kind of story we probably would be watching someday on the big screen from Hollywood.

yea, they usually have a couple non-contact scrimmages against smaller schools in the midwest. I think they played Harper College (IL) last year. and their freshman team i think played College of DuPage (IL) as well last season.

As far as this season, maybe badgerwarhawk or voice can help you out.

Are you making plans to attend, R 68? Sort of advance scouting?  ;)

Nah, but thanks for the offer. I don't really think it's necessary to travel 10 thousand miles to attend a pre-season scrimmage to understand that these are the two straws that will stir the drink..again!!!  ;)
