Does UWW have a pre-season scrimmage, if so, who and does happen ever year? :)

Are you making plans to attend, R 68? Sort of advance scouting?  ;)

Yeah, early scouting, Do you want to join me? :)

Nah, but thanks for the offer. I don't really think it's necessary to travel 10 thousand miles to attend a pre-season scrimmage to understand that these are the two straws that will stir the drink..again!!!  ;)

For being so far away, you are right on top of what is going on! A tip of hat to you Bobo :)

Thank you, my friend & +k for your kind words...I tend to be awake and alert when most, if not all, of the USA-based posters are fast asleep, dreaming their sweet dreams!!  ;)

EDIT: it just told me I can't increase your 'K' until the end of 24 hours...I guess I got you within the last day...I'll return it in a few hours!

BoBo,

Thanks for that! How far ahead are you there 14 hrs? I have traveled to the Asia-Pacific area 12-15 yrs ago on a 4-5 occasions. Some neat places and some not so neat places! :)

I think we're 13 hours ahead of east coast time -- but I always lose track because of DST -- something we don't have here!!  ;)

Same thing can be said for the states -- some neat places, some not so neat!!

OK I finally got the 92 highlight tape dubbed from VHS to DVD and now on the internet.  Not as good as Wildcat 11"s videos but a blast from the past.  Quite a bit of Spencer Johnson running the ball.  plus for BDB a view of Stout's old "Swamp" field.  Enjoy.

If you can't ignore an insult, top it; if you can't top it, laugh it off; and if you can't laugh it off, it's probably deserved.

Great highlight tape 78.....Never saw Spencer Johnson play just heard about him from stories in the Perk lot.....great to put the stories with some film.....I can see they were not exaggerating......

Have a quick question for the good fans of Wisconsin, does the UW - La Crosse stadium have a vistors side? Sorry if that is a dumb question but in the only pictures I can find I don't see one.

badgerwarhawk

No, it doesn't have visitor's side seating.  They used to have some rickety old bleachers on the visitor's sideline but they were taken down and not replaced when they redid the stadium and field.

Thanks, is there a spot that the vistors sit normally?

badgerwarhawk

Though they probably tend to congregate  in one area I don't think there's a specific area designated for visiting fans.  But I've only been there once since it was redone so I'm not certain.

Thanks again, I am hoping I see a better result then the previous two times I have visited Wisconsin.

They still make visitors stay on the old side, opposite of where UWL fans sit in their new stands. But, since they don't have bleachers installed there yet, anyone not wearing maroon and silver has to watch from up on Grandad's Bluff, with binoculars...  ;)

Those bleachers, to be located on the east side, are part of Phase II renovations, which requires $5.1 million total, $1.6 million for the first priority of east-side bleachers, which may be scaled back to a $1.2 million project, and $3.5 million for locker room and strength center.

Not sure how they are coming on the funds for those renovations, though...

crufootball = here's a seating chart for the seats at UWL.

(I hope it opens for you; I would have posted the link with my previous post, but I wasn't able to read it on the computer I was at. If you can't read it, go to the UWL site, and look under the football pages. There should be the same link there.)
