Wes Hicks should be back - mighta meant him.
What the hell was that?  That was a Drop-kick.  Drop-kick? How much is that worth?  Three points.  THREE POINTS?!

WARHAWK transfer....http://www.wissports.net/sports/football/blog/message.aspx?f=113&id=1166444.

sounds like he can play...and he's only a sophomore. we'll see if he can land a starting job competing with Hicks and Ankley

Ankley graduated didn't he?

I remember talking with justin's family in the perking lot last season...could of sworn they said he has one more year of eligibility left, and he would attend his last semester at UWW during the fall of 2010 so he could play football again....maybe they were mistaking

Justin Ankley is on the list of returning starters we got from UWW earlier this offseason.

It is clever but I kinda liked "mistaking"   :D

I have a friend familiar with Endres who describes him as stocky and built like Kleppe.  You can never have enough depth in the defensive line.

If he gets after QB's 1/2 as well as Kleppe, I'd say UWW has a nice transfer.  Ryan Kleppe posed a serious, serious problem for opposing offensive lines. The game that stands out for me was Oct 28, 2006 from Belton, Texas. Those consecutive 10+ yard sacks in the 1st quarter against UMHB set the tone for what became that defensive struggle -- a 7-3 Warhawk win.

I think Kleppe would agree MHB was his best game.....he dominated....Remember most many of the UWW tailgaters missed the opening kickoff return and only score because they started into the game a little late and missed the only TD....All the way to Texas and missed the only TD! It was a great trip....That group convenes in Madison this weekend for their tight ends wedding......Congrats to P.S. and wife......

If Keith and I had not been there for that game, who knows who would have been the D3football.com Defensive Player of the Year that season. Kleppe's performance that day really sealed it for me.

Funny thing about the kickoff return -- right before the kick I took a second and cleared my head because I wanted to make sure I wasn't distracted and got the first call of the game right. I always want to be prepared for the opening kickoff but this time in particular I had a sense -- I'd come 1,500 miles to call this game and I didn't want to screw up the opening kickoff by not being prepared.

Hello to all my Wiscy buddies!

I was just perusing the WIAC website, and it's going to be a pretty interesting non-conference, early schedule for most WIAC teams.  I think it will either show just how strong the conference is overall, or maybe show that it's top heavy, similiar to the OAC.

Games of interest.....

9/2 - River Falls @ Ohio Northern (considered to  possibly be the #2 OAC team this year)
9/4 - Oshkosh @ Central (Oshkosh is really jumping the shark this year)
9/4 - Willamette @ Stevens Point
9/11 - St. John's @ Eau Claire
9/11 - MUC @ Oshkosh
9/11 - MHB @ LaCrosse
9/11 - River Falls @ St. Thomas

I would have included Whitewater's early opponents, but I personally think they will pound both of them.

Let the fun begin!   :)

yea, the WIAC has some tough games early on...I'll be surprised in the WIAC comes away with more than one win out of the games mentioned above. Out of those games, I think Point will give Willamette a good game. LaCrosse MAY give UMHB a scare, and the same goes for UWEC, but I think the Johnnies should win that game.
