Bobo- Try this:

"rain, rain, go away."

"come again another day"

;)
What the hell was that?  That was a Drop-kick.  Drop-kick? How much is that worth?  Three points.  THREE POINTS?!

BoBo

If only if it were that simple, k'Sink -- although the sun was peeking through clouds a little this morning, which was unexpected!!  :o ;)

I read on jsonline that a tornado touched down near Milton - it didn't mention one near Cold Springs and Fort...could that be the same twister? From what I read, it sounded like a monster storm that blew through the area. Hope all are ok, including the Perk!!

I heard that in a few months there will be some more reported touchdowns in The Perk  ;D   :D

No need for concern though...these are expected
+karma.  That was good.   ;)  Happy that everyone is safe and Mother Nature spared the Perk.  One of my favorite places on earth to be.   :)

Were there other areas hit for any damage?

Unrelated to DIII football..but I'm excited for tomorrow. I'm taking a day off work and driving down to IL to see the Stanley Cup!!!  ;D I guess it's going to be at my hometown where I grew up (Lombard, IL). I hope to get my picture with it.

Hi everyone. I'm in San Diego after spending the last four days in LA.  My DODGERS won both games we attended in LA 3-2 in 13 innings and 1-0.  Tomorrow we've got tickets for the series opener against the Padres.  Headed to Balboa Park tomorrow morning.  Take care, we're having a great time and spending money hands over fist.

I had always heard that there is some rich guy in WW that buys everything for you guys.  You mean you are paying for your own vacation out of your own money?????

I don't know if this has been mentioned on here before, but ex-Badger Booker Stanley is enrolled at UWW and has one more year of eligibility remaining and will play for the Warhawks this fall, according to this on Madison.com. Sounds like he's working hard to earn his college degree and turn his troubled past around. Leipold decided to give him a chance, although had initial reservations about the potential distractions it might cause. In three seasons as a reserve at Wisconsin, he rushed 317 times for 1213 yards and 10 TD's.

I hear that Jeremiah Masoli has also been in contact with Leipold too.  We'll have to dub next year's UWW backfield as "Assult and Battery".

wc11 -- UWW doesn't appear to be in the running for his services. According to this article from The Commercial Appeal, the possibilities include:

QuoteOle Miss to Hawaii to UNLV to Louisiana Tech to Syracuse to Mississippi State

You can hold off with the naming of the Warhawk backfield at this time... ;)

I just got back from my annual summer baseball trip with my son.  7 games in 6 days, including the Northwoods League All Star game (and HR Derby), Target Field, and multiple minor league cities.  Over the last 9 years we've been to 17 major league stadiums (and 5 MLB spring training sites) and 59 different stadiums overall.  Plus the Field of Dreams site.  (it was heaven)   :)

Those you jealous about 02 Warhawk's trip home to see the Cup, don't worry -- it will be in Madison on August 18. I know I'm excited already...!!  ;)

Just as a point of reference, we are in our monsoon season here in Korea and it it is normal for us to get the equivalent of 6 inches of rain in 20 - 30 minutes!! I can remember getting up to 24 inches in a 24 hour period. We're used to it and are prepared for it so it doesn't cause a whole lot of worry where we are - but in your neck of the woods, that is A LOT!!

I was in Korea in 94' and remember the downpours quite well bobo. :o

I think '94 was one of the worst years for monsoon rains I can remember, kubiak. As a civilian, I nearly got trapped inside the DMZ during a tour at the 1st ROK Infantry Divison camp with about 30 (crying & scared) students from the University of Northern Iowa because of the rain. They weren't crying about the rain, but the fact we might have to spend the night inside the DMZ. But, the real reason I remember it so well was because the PAO at the 1st Div museum was a woman ROK Army Captain.  At that time, the only woman ever stationed inside the DMZ. Her assistant was a Lt with nearly perfect English. When I asked him how he leaned such good English, he said he grew up in New York and graduated from Queens College...go figure!!  ;)  Long story short, the Olympic Highway through Seoul was mostly underwater from the Han River for the next week. Never seen anything like it again. Must be global warming.  ;D

Just Bill

There are four finalists for the UW-La Crosse athletic director position: two D-I administrators, one D-III AD from the East Coast and a lawyer who is a former NFL player.

http://www.uwlathletics.com/news/2010/8/2/GEN_0802102517.aspx

Interesting that there's (apparently) not one finalist with ties to UWL, the WIAC or even the State of Wisconsin.
