Interesting. New England College is nothing like UW-La Crosse.

There are four finalists for the UW-La Crosse athletic director position: two D-I administrators, one D-III AD from the East Coast and a lawyer who is a former NFL player.

Interesting that there's (apparently) not one finalist with ties to UWL, the WIAC or even the State of Wisconsin.

Bill, you should look at their backgrounds before making that statement. The first one listed, Tyler Johnson, associate athletic director for business & internal affairs at The University of Tennessee (wonder if there's a background with Lane Kiffin?), has his B.S. from UW-La Crosse in 1994. Josh Whitman, the lawyer, was an summer associate at Foley & Lardner LLP in Milwaukee, Wisconsin in 2006. I would think that gives them both ties to UWL and/or the state of Wisconsin!!  ;)  The woman candidate, Lori Runksmeier, has two degrees from Mankato, which is a far cry from Wisconsin in terms of quality  ;), but which is not too far geographically from La Crosse. I guess the more you look, the more you will find!! Seems only the 4th candicate, Glen Krupica, is a complete outsider. But being at Northern Illinois, I would think he vacations in Wisconsin like the majority of other northern Illini residents and is probably real familiar with Lake Geneva or the Dells!!  ;)

My bad. I read them closely, but clearly I missed that.

I wonder when WIAC will release their preseason polls? The last few boards i've visited, they are all talking about their preseason rankings that have been released.

Not that it really matters, but it's something to discuss other than monsoon season in Korea  ;)

Wink all you want 02 >:(,  BoBo and I were having a moment.  Just because you have not been outside North America doesn't mean you need to start hatin' :-* :-*

LOL...ok, i'll leave you two alone with "your moment." I was just messing around.

Actually i'll be in Australia this fall...however, that requires me to miss one or two Warhawk games, but I guess it's worth it  :P.

yeah I know you're messing around.... I saw the wink.   Australia's worth it.  talk to Oz johnnie on the MAIC board, he lives down there. Also I have a few mates I work with that live down under and can suggest places to go.

I've been to Australia a couple times, too!!  ;D  My wife and I prefer New Zealand, but that's another story. Living in Asia has it's perks (no pun intended). Just out of curiosity 02 Warhawk, what requires you to go to there, if I may pry into your personal life? Remember, you can log on to the games at about 3 or 4 am & never miss a beat!! If it's a home game, there's always Penn Atlantic for the streaming video -- away games have the radio broadcast. I do try to use 2 different media players to listen to both, but they are usually grossly out of sync. Enough of this public service announcement.   :D

Sorry, no more talk about non-football things...although, in my defense, after going days without a single post on this board, I really didn't think it was such a bad thing.  ;)

As for pre-season poll, the WIAC probably shapes up to be the same as usual...don't you think?

BoBo,

Was in Australia in '89, people were great!

Who will be the top 3 in the WIAC pre-season conference poll?

Congrats on your 300th Karma, +k :)

I think there should be a vuvuzelu(sp?) giveaway at one of the Warhawk games this year. My personal preference would be against Wesley if we played them in the playoffs again.  :P

First time on the board and fresh as a graduate.  I like the vuvuzela idea

As a World Cup fan, I favor summary execution of anyone with a vuvuzela! :o

I thought you paint from the top down?
This is what future UWW QB's do during their summer? Who is he?

D3 Preseason poll is out...UWW #1, Mount #2, Stevens Point #16, Stout  receiving votes with 16.
