I could see a wishbone of some sort in short yardage or at the goal line.  Anderson was a little banged up last year and it seemed to limit him a bit...I hope he's past those issues.

Bobo, I think fullback would be a good position for Booker. He would be a legitimate running threat from that position and would take some attention away from Coppage and Anderson. Better yet, how about the wishbone with Booker, Coppage, and Anderson all in the backfield  ;D

To take it even one step further... With Blanchard under center how about the triple option? Blanchard is a very good runner. However, i don't see whitewater expanding the playbook that much to include options, but maybe try it a few times a season to keep defenses honest  ;)

Last year, there were some short passes to the fullback out of the backfield in the flat that were pretty effective. In 2004, Booker caught 18 passes.

Of course a fullback also needs to be able to block  ;)

02, do you think the #1 QB position is pretty much Blanchard's? Who of the other guys competing do you think will put the most pressure on him?

People are saying the QB position is up in the air. But I believe Blanchard has the job. I think Knapp and possibly Zach Fry (DII MN State transfer) will be fighting for the back up position. Unless Fry REALLY has an impressive training camp, he might compete for the starting job, but I doubt it. Recently I heard a kid from UW-LaCrosse came to UWW this year to compete for QB (Lee Brekke), but I don't know much about him.

Sounds like UWW's QB battle will not be as wide open as the Raider's! :-\

The La Crosse transfer is from Sun Prairie.  He didn't have any stats last year; it would be surprising if he were a factor in the QB battle.  Who is the freshman QB that was mentioned?

The Westphal transfer to Oshkosh is official, too. What he brings, I don't know -- never played for the Badgers after being injured for 2 years.

Nice, hopefully this works out for the Titans. What a way for him to show case his D1 tallent as he begins his DIII career against Central and Mount Union.

If you can't ignore an insult, top it; if you can't top it, laugh it off; and if you can't laugh it off, it's probably deserved.

Certainly sounds like he is working at tailback and not fullback.  Hopefully the Hawks have another 15 game season. If so, they should have a fresh set of tailbacks!

I'm having a good feeling about this season, just like last year. Hopefully it pans out to be good, the only concern I have is the QB. I'm a little leary of Blanchard but I still have that good feeling.
