I couldn't find anything either Fred. I thought if any team did it, it might be the Falcons during the wishbone era.

After reviewing the box score, I wonder when the last time (in NCAA history) that three RBs from the same team rushed for over 100 yards in one game?

Stanley: 159 yards
Anderson: 114
Coppage: 108

(Pirtle was only a few carries away from the century mark with 68 yards)

There are probably some triple-option teams that have achieved this but I do think it's relatively rare. I'll see if I can find out.

I know that for you Warhawk fans, NCAA history began five years ago, but.... C'mon. ;D

Another list via email:

I found two Olivet games in 2002. (All RB's. They ran the Wing-T)

Damien Brown 117
Mick Faasen 122
Dwight Houston 128

Against Kalamazoo in a 49-34 win
Damien Brown 103
Travis Sleight 109
Mick Faasen 169

Have a bad day today, retagent?   ::)

IMO, you need to mellow out or lighten up a bit, 02 Warhawk asked:

How exactly did you reach that conclusion to that question? 02's question is about as straight forward as there could be. Nothing sinister about it....no mention that it was the first and only time it happened...no pot shot at your favorite team.  ;) He's asking WHEN it happen last...c'mon!!

The Eagles signed former UW-River Falls, West Virgina and Seahawks fullback Owen Schmitt.

Schmitt, a fifth-round draft choice by Seattle in 2008, played in 30 games with the Seahawks. He caught 12 passes for 50 yards and one touchdown, and carried five times for 21 yards. Schmitt was released on Sept. 6.

And a bump in 02's Karma for knowing me so well.

Holy Moses!  Who in the WORLD does WW play this week ???  Thank goodness Mount has a ten team conference, and only has to fill one empty slot each year, or they would probably be stuck playing the NAIA schmuckerama bowl as well.   :D

Good luck  ::) to the Warhawks this week!

Hey.....I was thinking.....we could use a strong, studlike RB over our way.  We would be happy to take one of your five/six? studs "on loan" for the rest of the season.  That way it's a win-win.   ;)

Weak Safety

Hardin-Simmons had three rb's rush for over 100 vs Louisiana College on 9/17/05:
Brad Clark - 112
Thurston Ashley - 107
Quinton Jones - 103

Cambellsville was ranked 18th nationally in something called the Victory Sports Network Poll however the loss 33-21 to Cumberland dropped them out of the top 25 and propelled Cumberland, previously unranked, to 24th.  Cambellsville had been in the others receiving votes category of the NAIA Coaches Top 25 poll in the preseason but they are no longer listed.  Saturday's game against the WARHAWKS will be streamed live on line at CambellsvilleTigers.com

I wonder if the NCAA's option rule didn't affect this. Didn't it used to be that if you ran the option, the QB would get credit for everything prior to the pitch, and now, if a RB receives a pitch on an option, he gets all the yards? Or is it the other way around. I would think for a team running the option, this could make a huge difference

Pat Coleman

Bombers -- I don't believe so. I called stats for an option team in the early '90s and we never did that sort of mid-handoff calculation.
