I think that we will may have a five way tie for second with many teams at 3 losses and jack up the Pool C one more time.  I did rank them if it does not get tied 2-6 though.
Conference Projection
UWW 7-0
UWS 4-3
UWSP 4-3
UWLC 4-3
UWEC 4-3
UW0 4-3
UWP 1-6
UWRF 0-7
I guess this is as good of a time to make my post as ever. I will start with that I live near Whitewater, but have some ties to River Falls. So I would obviously take some offense to putting RF's at 0-7 for the season. I think there is a lot more parity in the "lower half" of the conference than what you are showing, but I guess we will have to wait to see how the season pans out to know for sure. Even then records don't tell the whole story a lot. Look at RF's season/record last year. I don't remember the specifics, but it was something like them losing 4 or 5 games by a total of 9 or so points? If that isn't parity, then I don't know what is.

RF lost 4 games by a total of 9 points and the other 3 by a total of 68.  Their 3 wins were by a total of 19 points, 13 of those were against nonconference opponents.

My thoughts on the RF 0-7 is due to the last season for the header and the team/program not showing progress weekly as they see the end of the end of an era.  Just my thoughts.

Thanks for the clarification and even more so making my point.

Trine has beaten Bluffton and Manchester 76-7 AND 55-7 respectively, or was it the other way around? Trine plays in the Michigan Interscholastic Athletic Assn.

Their qb was 11/12 and 12/16 in the two games. According to their website, Watt (qb) is a Gagliardi trophy candidate, and was 179/280 passing with 26 td's last season. Regardless, a number of you have picked RF to win. I hope you're right.

Here's a question, asked by Peter Marshall, from the old Hollywood Squares show:  What are "Do it!" "I Can't Get Enough!" and "I Can Help!"?

Not bad for an on the spur answer. I'll bet most of you never saw that show.

I will be at the RF game and hope that no matter what the outcome, they play well.

I just figured Point has had two weeks to get ready and they're playing the annual Spud Bowl.  They usually whomp up on somebody in that game.

Ya, barring some infraction/injuries that keeps some key players off the field, that pick was not one I sweated over.  Maybe DBG has some inside info.   ;)

Although, considering my rocky start, what do I know............

DBG, weren't you on the Stout squad that played this school twice before they changed their name?

Actually, I think they changed the school name between the home and home.

Maybe you were long gone by then. I remember it was a mud bowl down there.

EDIT: Ahh yes. Missouri-Rolla one year, Missouri S & T the next. And yes, those games were more recent than I remembered. DBG was gone making his contribution to society by then.  :)

Being a fan of offensive line play, I have been really impressed with UWW so far.  Given what Coach L. says about Campbellsville size, I will be watching.   It appears that the O-Line has more depth this year than last and when you combine that with a 3 headed monster running the ball, I think we will wear them down.

Last week, the second string line came in and they marched all the way down the field with A.A. running each play to the right side.  The depth on the line should be a positive factor all season.  Other thoughts?

My goal is re-join the HS coaching ranks once my kids are grown and out of the house (youngest is 11).  That's assuming I can find a head coach dumb enough to let me in the door.............

The reason I quit a decade ago was family time as I'm actually a civil engineer that was working some crazy office hours to be able to leave early enough to make practice after school.   Leaving home at 4 AM and not getting home until 7 PM every week night, getting home around 2 AM after the games on Friday night, and then spending Saturday mornings at the JV games got kind of old with the wife and once the kids started to get active.   It was a blast, but not real practical unless you're actually a teacher or single.

Until then the radio gig will have to fulfill my football addiction.  It's not as much fun as coaching, but it's hard to beat the very little time it takes takes outside of the actual game.  Actually it pretty easy to see why the ex-NFL and college coaches like doing the TV broadcasts and pre-game shows.  It keeps them connected to the game without a significant time commitment.  And you don't get fired for some 19 year kid taking a $500 hand-shake from a booster.

Deep respect HScoach, leaving the coaching ranks to raise your family.  Having that type of schedule sounds really difficult!  Good luck getting back into it.

TGIF - good day for a day off Warhawk Dad!!  ;)  Posting is easy when you're old and semi-retired!!

The line play, on both sides of the ball, is what makes the Warhawk so successful, IMO. And probably the main reason they have been able to complete with UMU over the last 5 years. I know HScoach mentions this many times in his analysis of the series. Has Blanchard been touched (not counting when he's run the ball) when he's been back to throw this year? I know he hasn't been sacked, but I don't remember him being pressured all that often. Has to make his transition to the starting job much easier. Sounds like the soup-ville guys have a bit more speed to contend with this weekend. Hopefully the 'hawks can continue the stellar play.
