The only challenge for UWW is in December @ Salem when they play Mt. Union in a re-re-re-re-rematch

DBG....if it happens, you forgot one, it will be a re, re, re, re, re, rematch!  (fingers crossed!) ;D
Maybe the flatlanders do not know the rematch is the second time a team plays in a row, but check YOUR math.....

I think he is right, WD.   ;)
05    Match-up
06   1st re-match
07   2nd re-match
08   3rd re-match
09   4th re-match
10   5th re-match if happens

How about that?  Did the math and I'm a flatlander.    :P

LOL  :D!  Awesome!  Welldone!  I happily admit I was wrong  :P

Will UW-Stout be the Warhawk's toughest and only test for the regular season? :-\

We have the discussion on here about other conferences not wanting to schedule the WIAC because it's just too good...

And we have the discussion here that why would teams want to schedule non-conference teams that are good, because it only hurts playoff chances if you lose to them, since the teams all beat each other up in WIAC play and come out with 2-3 losses, but for UWW...

That being said, I'm pretty sure all the teams in the WIAC are whining about having to play UWW; they have to enter the season with a for-sure loss, that hurts their playoff chances, too....

And I'm sure the WIAC teams have all conceded, and would rather take that week off against UWW, to rest and prep for the next game, take the automatic L, and then whine the rest of the year that it isn't fair that they all have to enter the season starting 0-1....

And I am sure the Blugolds are looking past Platteville towards UWW, too. And if they lose this weekend, that will be said excuse; "we were looking towards the bye week, er, automatic L, against UWW next week...

Seriously?!?!?? No way there's a coach in the WIAC that would EVER take this aproach to playing whitewater -- they be out of a job real fast. What team wouldn't want to play their best and knock off a #1 team in the nation?

You basically telling your team that they aren't good enough, so sit this one out...please!

Um, that would be sarcasm...

It seems to me UWW fans, after 4 games, are the ones who is looking past opponents to week 15, not the rest of the teams in the league...

I must have missed those comments here on this page and others, looking forward to the Mount Union rematch....

(It's easy to miss comments on here, or skim past things, like I have in the past, while weeding through the UWW lovefest...)

That was originally posted by a non-UWW fan....who happens to be our good friend DBG.

Heading to the Perk tomorrow early. Feel free to stop over for the best Bloody Mary's in the parking lot!

:) Bloody Mary's and college football...what a great combo.  Can't wait!  Ill have plenty of homemade chili going all morning/afternoon too.  Stop on by.  We park in the NW corner of the parking lot.  Looking forward to hearing that cannon fire many times tomorrow!

We are in the southeast corner along the parkway, right next to footballfan413  Drop by for a visit!

Sounds good!  I'll grab a cold brew and take a stroll on over.

Actually in my opinion, you could not be more wrong.  DBG raised the issue of why no-one was really talking about the game this weekend.  The reason is we all know Stout will be the best team we have faced so far.   I think the parents and serious fans have adopted the same mantra as the coach and team, "get better one day at time".   Got to play them all.   I did not see one UWW fan pounding their chest acting like the game this weekend was a non issue.

Why not support and be proud of your team.  I have yet to see any UWW fan bash another WIAC team or a supporter of another team.   And, while we are at it ....what is wrong with a lovefest.  Come see one at the tailgate Saturday and I will give you a beer!   ;D

You see the thing about that bulk is that it really doesn't matter who the fans look past.  They aren't playing and they don't have anything to do with the outcome of a single game.  No one, even the great BoBo ;) has ever posted anything here that has had anything to do with the outcome of a game.  So the fans could be looking to 2011 and it would be insignificant and meaningless.

I know for a fact the team and staff look past no one.  Though it's a tired and worn cliche their attitude is one game at a time and try to improve each week.  I'm reasonably assured that there is a strong possibility the BluGolds have the same attitude and if they should lose to Platteville (I picked EC) it won't be because they were looking towards us.  It will be because Platteville outplayed them.

BTW bulk EC is having a good season.  Where are their supporters?  I haven't seen many of them in these parts. ???

BW - UWEC fans may not be posting here but they sure have flocked to Carson Park this season.  The Blugolds are ranked 16th in the nation in attendance this season according to this week's NCAA Division III ranking. The Blugolds are averaging 4419 for each of its 3 home games so far.  The Golds drew 4527 to its game with St. Johns and 5512 last Saturday vs. Stevens Point.  UWEC won both games in overtime.

BTW, UW-Whitewater currently ranks 7th in attendance, averaging 5765. Tomorrow is "Family Day" at the Perk and a crowd in excess of 10,000 is expected.

Whoa!  I'm a UWEC fan.  Games are fun to go to, attendance is great, their band is FANTASTIC.  Next week is EC family week and I am sure the place will be packed, unless the weather is atrocious.
I can tell you that the Blugolds do not want to take the week against UWW off.   And they would have loved to played UWW pre-season also.  UWW is the team to beat and everyone wants a shot at them.  Whining???  No way!!
Is it disappointing to be in a conf with the perennial top team?  Maybe.  It does make it harder to get to the playoffs.  But if you don't want to compete...get off the field.  These players (and I am sure I speak for other teams also) are ready to go.  Sooner or later, someone's going to knock off WW, and every team wants to be the one.
And no team is dumb enough to look beyond any game in WIAC.  Any given Saturday.....
And I don't know where the other EC fans are.  Seems there was one posting...should be more....
