Well for me it is back to the Warhawk mantra, getting better, one day at a time, one game at a time.  On to Oshkosh......well, watching it online!

Wesley as a number one seed is a perennial joke.....BOOM!!!......

they usually do good up until they reach UWW or UMU, but I guess you can say that for most teams though in the playoffs.

But I understand where you're coming from though.  8-)
Most teams in the play-offs don't meet UWW and UMU in the Semi-Final game where one would hope to see a reasonable level of competition.  I have to admit, I have a hard time fighting my bias against the Wolverines. Haven't been able to bring myself to rank them above the #6 spot in the fan poll yet.  ;) ;D

With UW-W's win on Saturday, combined with UW-Oshkosh's loss, the  Warhawks clinched a share of their 6th consecutive WIAC championship:

Has anyone noticed that two of the more prominent WSUC teams in the 1990's are at the bottom of the conference-UW-LAX and UW-RF?  Both have legitimate new AD's with new Head Coaches coming soon.  It shows how important it is to have a good Athletic Director backing a FB program.  I know that in both programs--there was limited/no funding with a huge lack in recruiting--Killers in building a great FB team.

SOOOO . . .

Does anyone have any thoughts on who will take over as the Head Coaches at the UW-LAX AND UWRF?

Congrats on the numerous WIAC student/athletes that made the 2010 Academic All-District team (district 5).

Pat's take on the UWO-UWW game (in this week's triple take):

Surprisingly close game
No. 1 UW-Whitewater @ UW-Oshkosh. UW-Oshkosh struggled a little bit on the road at UW-Eau Claire last week but the team with the toughest schedule, at least anecdotally, in Division III, won't be intimidated by a home game against the top-ranked team in the country. The Titans represented themselves well against No. 2 Mount Union back in Week 2. The difference: UW-Whitewater will be tougher on defense and knows what its run game is all about, where the Purple Raiders didn't have that figured out in their opener. Still, I expect a game that's less than four touchdowns.

I think I agree 100% with this. I believe this team is better at throwing the ball than UWSP. Seems like they don't have the athletic WRs that UWSP does. But UWO brings a better QB to the table, and he's mobile which can be a problem. But on the other side of the ball, i'm not sure if they can contain UWW's offense....i guess we'll see

I heard rumors that this game has a live feed available to watch?

So, does that mean if Whitewater wins by 27 points that's a surprisingly close game?

That's a mighty high standard!!
What the hell was that?  That was a Drop-kick.  Drop-kick? How much is that worth?  Three points.  THREE POINTS?!

Mighty high standard indeed. On the OAC pick'em seems that the majority are picking the Warhawks at +31.5.  Even though the Hawks dominated Point last week excepting a few big plays by Point, it didn't feel like a dominating performance. I guess we are spoiled!

Closer than the line, apparently. Not that I often consult OAC lines for WIAC games. :)

Looking over the schedule, I don't think I remember so many meaningful games being played in one weekend.

#5 North Central @ #15 Wheaton - biggest game of the week; a #1 playoff seed is at stake, possibly.

#13 Wartburg @ #17Central - a lot rests on this game for the IIAC championship. Coe is praying for a Dutch win.

#25 Wabash @ #9 Wittenberg - loser of this game probably won't make the playoffs.

#19 Hampden-Sydney @ Washington and Lee - winner of this game will be in the driver's seat for the automatic bid/ODAC championship.

Washington U @ Case Western Resrve - loser here is out of the running for a pool C bid

Ithaca @ Alfred - an Ithaca win creates a three-team log jam in the E8 for a pool A bid with St. John Fisher, with one week left.

Ursinus @ Muhlenberg - these two are currently tied atop the Centennial Conference, the winner here will more than likely finish the season with a pool A bid.

I'm reluctant to include Mount @ BW - the only team that BW has played that currently has a +.500 record is Ohio Northern...and they lost by 20  :-\. Mount rolls in this game, inspite of this game's hype.

Feal free to add more if I left some off...

I didn't think I'd be able to attend the game in Oshkosh today because I had to move my daughter to Kenosha.  But lo and behold we were able to get all the moving done yesterday so I'm able to make the trip.
