The guy that got earholed for LaX was #39.  He came back in the game later.

Some thing happened on that throw.  It was not even close to anyone and wobbled like crazy.

#39 was the same guy who had Blanchard's INT behind Brandes. Don't think Brandes remembered that? 

Also, #39 got creamed by AA right at the end of the at about the 3:40 mark. On a second and goal from inside the 5, AA was through the hole, lowered his head and hit 39 square in the face mask. 39's head snapped backward as his whole body fell to the ground. AA landed at the 1. I think #39 was a bit sore on Sunday morning!!

Thinking a little farther into these brackets, isn't it true that the committee has basically set us up as the #8 team for all intent and purposes?  Meaning that being #2 in the #4 bracket means, for example, IF we continue to win out, we could travel to play, not only the #1 seed but also any other #2 seed?  We only get home field over #3 seeds or lower?  WTF???

Anyone that has seen Whitewater play knows they are the best team in the country and should have no issue winning their third championship in the last four years.

Yes they may have to prove it on the road, but big deal!! Quit whining and enjoy your playoff run...

I wish the biggest issue River Falls had in the athletic department was not getting the top overall seed in the DIII playoffs... 

NOW to something a little more fun, that game at EC yesterday was awesome!! Luessenheide looked like a completely new man, if RF would have had that guy who showed up yesterday for the last two years we would have won much more than just four games.  Keith Lofgren played spectacular in the secondary. Joe Ganske had 200 yards and two scores receiving. The seniors refused to lose that game.

What a way to send off OG!!

I guess the blue print on screwing a team from getting a number seed was revealed today:

- refuse to schedule them
- they are then forced to schedule non-region teams (or worse..NAIA)
- Their SOS and regional rank with take a big hit
- End result....not awarded a number 1 seed

You are the only one on these boards from everything I have read that would come on here and try to justify UWW being, not only the #2 seed in the region, but the #5 team over all.  We all understand the, "simple," math that was clearly used by the committee to perpetrate this farce but going strictly by the regional rankings is unprecedented as Pat explained to you last week!  Subjectivity has always been a part of the football play-off brackets!  The Warhawks, with this formula, are being unfairly penalized for success resulting in no D-3 team wanting to play them in NC games and playing in the toughest conference in the country with so much parody that most of the teams end up with 3 or more losses therefore effecting the SOS, OWP and OOWP!  We all know how they did it but they clearly had an agenda.  How else do you explain #3 UMU, (after beating a OAC bottom feeder,)  jumping  #2 NCC after NCC beat #1 Wheaton in the final regional ranking last week!  Now that is the subjectivity that should have been applied today!   The committee is looking for a different look to the 2010 Stagg.  Funny thing is, this is just the ticket to ensure that the Warhawks do not phone in a game.  I almost feel sorry for anyone in their wake on the way to Salem!

I think you nailed it right here. Last week was hugely inconsistent with what transpired today. I'd like someone to explain that!! Today is also very inconsistent with what has transpired in the D3 process every year (which has also been different every year). This will get settled on the field and I don't agree with UWW not being a #1 seed , particularly in light of the subjective leap frog awarded UMU last week. And if they were really following the criteria that closely then NCC would be the the 3 seed over UMU instead of the 4. Makes no sense.

At first I was pretty upset.  I certainly think UWW got the short end of the stick.  The fact of the matter still remains.  WE ARE THE BEST FOOTBALL TEAM IN DIVISION III.  I'm still planning a vacation to Salem in December to watch my 'Hawks play.

Warhawk fans, don't worry.  I can assure you the players and coaches are not worried.

I don't think anyone is worried. We're just pissed that we have to go all the way to Naperville to watch NCC get triple monkey stomped by us instead of watching it in Perkins stadium. They're not in our our league both literally and figuratively and their disposition towards playing us is as big an indicator as any.

The only indicator I have seen from you so far is completely classless representation of your school. Go ahead and be pissed at the NCAA but don't be an idiot to other schools and their fans.

Wrong.  Titan Q was not trying to justify the ranking, but rather was trying to explain how the NCAA might have come up with that ranking by applying its criteria.  There's a difference.  I haven't seen anyone from the CCIW or anywhere else say that the NCAA got it right.

yea, it looks like UWW has to do the best they can with the hand that's been dealt to them. They will first have to take care of Franklin, then either Trine or DePauw before any of this is relevant. 

Lets just hope this isn't a distraction (but rather motivation) for the hawks, so UWW can make it to NCC (if they take care of business as well  ).

While I understand and appreciate all debate about how 2010 results should be interpreted, I don't understand all the references to past seasons.

Voice, what do any of the facts you posted above have to do with 2010 seeding?
