Here, here bleedpurple- I'll take a seat right next to you on the "Be Patient Bandwagon".  UWW employs a 60 minute game plan.

During the Franklin game, UWW showed first half scores of other first round games on the scoreboard, and I'm sure that led to some fans/posters questioning UWW's place in these playoffs.  154-28, that's the score that really matters to me.

One more point, I think it should be a blessing in disguise that UWW plays the #1 and #2 rated QB's in the country these first two weeks.  People have pointed to the inexperience of the Hawks DB's as a weakness - Franklin and Trine are providing a crash course in pass defense- sure to help us should we advance.

Then IF we do come out this weekend (after beating the top two DIII QB's), we have to a pair of road games against top 10 talent before reaching Salem....it won't be easy. Then again it isn't suppose to be easy  :P.

I am honestly not to concerned with the slow start in the game on Saturday. I am not sure why it happen but it did. I think that the warhawks wanted to run the ball and after a couple series they said ok i Franklin is going to play this way we are going to throw the ball. I don't think it was as much of a slow start as they wanted to run the ball no matter what. Once they realized that they had to throw the ball they did it.
I think in the past they would have realized what the other team was doing and make the adjustments ASAP. For what ever reason they didn't do it right away.
The warhawks wear down their opponents in the second half because they run the ball and out physical their opponent. In the playofs not all the teams are hard nosed and physical like the Hawks and the WIAC. They run the spread are not use to the physicality of the hawks which wears then down as well. This most likely will be the same situation this week against Trine.
