Warhawk Dad- your son stepped up big time, you have every right to be a proud pappa.  6.8 yds per carry starts with the big dogs upfront.  I lost my voice screaming pound the rock.

413, missed you at the tailgate and game- yardwork????
I know, it is shameful but with the holidays looming, I had to make a very tough call. Are you going to Naperville?

Looking forward to my first UWW game way from the Perk.....I'm going to bring my UWW flag down, and I wonder if NCC will let me bring it in the stadium with a 4-foot poll attached to it so I can wave it around.  ;D

For those that haven't been to Naperville, it's a really nice town of about 100,000...it's nothing like Whitewater. Being in the heart of the Chicago suburbs, there's tons of bars and restaurants in the area.
Sure isn't.  You will pay 3 times as much for your food and drink than you would in Whitewater.  ;)

LOL...got that right!

413 - I think those several posters (non-NCC fans I assume) around the boards are going with NCC not because they think NCC is a better team, but because they have a dislike for UWW and all they stand for, IMO. As far as the 14 point spread on the OAC pickems, many will pick NCC to cover the spread, but when push comes to shove, they think UWW will win, IMO.

Any inside scoop on the QB situation? I think we've all been very pleased with Brekke's progress and he obviously has talent, but do you think we might see Blanchard this week? How do you think the 2 week, non-game activity, will hinder his game if he starts? I think our best shot is with Blanchard calling the shots!!

413- I have to juggle a prior committment, but I will figure a way to be there at least for the game- God willing.
There are a few alumni hosting house parties and inviting all UWW travelers, but I don't know if I can pass up the tailgate if I am able to get there early.  I think fans also have to have a Pound the Rock attitude- so weather can't drive us inside- too soft.

Their pick of NCC was in response to this post by Raider68:

"Here is a question: In your opinion which 4 teams will win the quarter finals:
UWW
Mount Union
Wesley
Mary Hardin Baylor
St. Thomas
North Central
Bethel
Alfred
The North and South Brackets have the overall strongest teams, so something has to give, IMHO!"

Pretty straight up question, IMHO.  Pick NCC in response, it means you think they win more than it means you don't like UWW. ;)

As for Blanchard's status, I could tell you but then I'd have to kill ya.............

Seriously, I know nothing.

WHITEWATER is no Naperville that's for sure.  However there is no shortage of bars in WHITEWATER.  Restaurants yes but bars...no way.

You aren't the only one who knows nothing about Blanchard's status 413.  They are keeping this one very, very close to the chest.

In my opinion, the NCAA did UWW a favor this week by seeding them #2.  Many times it's easier to focus when you're on the road.  Especially if it's short trip like NCC will be.  Traveling halfway across the nation is a pain, but a couple hour bus trip and then being out of town and away from all distractions can be a good thing.

I find easily offended people rather offensive!

Statistics are like bikinis; what they reveal is interesting, what they hide is essential.

413, IF you find out, I give you permission to kill me!!  ;)  ;)

(that's a big if)

There was no such thing as 25 cent draft night in Naperville during college.    >:(

Blanchard update:
After the game yesterday my sons asked him for an autograph and, although willing, he couldn't even sign their football.

No pen.

For a town of 10,000, Whitewater has a lot of bars. For long time Napervillians, think Fidlers, Whites, and the Nickel Inn. Downtown Whitewater seems to be one bar after another.
