#40 is a POS.

All American

And a d-bag. Soon to be a loser

Unlike Warhawk 96, who got a little salty because some of his favorite players were being hit too hard, I felt that the rest of the Warhawk nation was a very nice bunch. Congrats and good luck to you against Wesley and UMU. Represent the North region well.

You're very unlike me. I find it amusing that you pull the class card when I call your best player out for being a cheap shot artist. ::) I speak my mind and I stand up for the people and things that I believe in. I always have and always will. If you have a problem with it good, it says a lot about you. As far as the hits are concerned, no complaints about the clean ones. We exchanged quite a few of those. Obviously we save ours for when they matter...like during the play.

I don't know what game you were watching but I didn't see it and neither did the officials. Usually a player can get away with one, but if it was as frequent as you're saying I have a hard time believing that it was NEVER called. Also, if you think a player is dirty, you can say that without calling him a POS dbag loser. Classless was the nicest thing I could possibly think of to describe those comments.
Sorry if you were offended by that, it was the nicest way I could say it. If you missed it thats on you, check your tape. If it bothers you that much, complain to him about the late hits.

It's pretty sorry if that's the best way you can describe an all American player who hasn't had a single personal foul all season. No athlete deserves that.

That's how you play defense, son!!!!!!! Shut them down after their openning-drive touchdown, and I think the final four or five positions for NCC ended in tournovers...great day to be warhawk!!!!!

I Just got back from the game....best part was the "OVERRATED" chant we started up with a minute to go in the game....great time.   ;D

Very impressive turnout by hawk fans...we packed their visitor's section!!!

Never understood that chant.  If you beat a great team you've accomplished much, if you beat an overrated team you've not accomplished much
at all.  In trying to belittle your opponent you're actually belittling yourselves

I don't understand it when you're the number one team in the nation heating the number 5 team in the nation. An "overrated" cheer does not make sense. Maybe "overSEEDED"... but...

Let's face it, today was as close as we have come to being able to use that chant in a long time. Seems like it may be awhile before we can use it again. So let's just call it seizing  rare opportunity!  ;D

Hey warhawk96.... Takes a lot of guts to say stuff about a guy online. I'm glad New Tradition got to you before I did. Way to represent your school with class. Matt Wenger is one of the more classy players on the field and an all around great guy. You can dislike a guy for being a good player. But don't question a guy's character on and off the field. You have some backbone, boy. I could care less if I get knocked on karma for calling you out because you deserve it. NCC had your team against the ropes today, and you're worried.... I guess that's cool. Hope your team hoes far warhawk96.... At least THEY were classy.
Before you got to me ;D?! HILARIOUS! Trust me, if there were any other way to say it I would. I DO have "some backbone" ;)

Wesley was seeded 1 overall; Mount Union was seeded 2. So, I guess you could use that chant two more times.

What a great game and fun day. It was awesome to get to meet some of you today. Thanks for the hospitality at the tailgate. It was a great time! Just a few thoughts about today:

Great (I may be overusing that word in this post) job by the defense giving up only 3 points after the first drive.
Nice job by Kinder today. His FG's weren't long, but they were CLUTCH!
Hibner's interception was spectacular! His sideline dance was funny  ;)
Coppage earned every yard today, but was still a treat to watch.
I think we would have scored A LOT more points if not for #40.
Rosholt's 3rd quarter punting was HUGE!
Great pressure on the QB in the 2nd half.
Easy to take Brandes for granted, but his catch on the first play over two defenders was special.
Another opponent with another style. Another victory!  ;D
Two of the Selection Committee's #1 seeds went down today. D3football.com Top 25's top 3 still alive and well.  :D

Quite frankly, i'm not suprised that he hasnt had one; i've seen your refs in action and he didnt get one today either. As fun as this has been going back forth, how about we agree to dislike each other and get on with our lives. The game is over with and this is rather pointless banter. Good luck next year and have a great christmas.

Good point. (But I think Mount is #3 so they are technically UNDER-RATED). But Wesley is 14 hours away. I suppose the handful of parents who make the trip could chant it, but that would seem kind of odd.  ;D

There was a fair amount of trash talking in the game, as there is in every game. On one play, one of the UWW OL was yelling in Garza's direction long after the play ended. It seemed to me that the UWW players were trying to get in Wenger's way after most plays. On one specific play, Coppage was nowhere near Wenger and neither was involved in the outcome of the play, but Coppage circled around and got in Wenger's face.

On the play under discussion, Wenger should have gotten a penalty, looking at what was happening at the end. But the officials were letting all the talking and pushing go, perhaps both players involved deserved a personal foul call.

Great job also by the o-line in pass protection. Not much pressure at all on Brekke when he passed.

Funny you should mention that ILGator, since Wesley being made the overall #1 seed in this tournament is probably harder for some/many/most (pick your word) Warhawk fans to accept than the other "mistake" the selection committee made!!  ;)  Hopefully, a positive result next sat will be noticed by those who made the call 3 + weeks ago.

I agree. I (probably like most people) just saw the end. I do think he should have gotten penalized on the play. But I can't honestly say I know what happened the instant before that.  Maybe offsetting was deserved.

ILGator, bp, others - was there an announcement at the game where the officiating crew was from? I listened to both the UWW radio broadcast and the D3 football broadcast and I can't recall either of them making any mention to the calls in the game...to me that would be a good thing!!  ;)
