so is there any major impact on next saturdays game with the 4 players that were arrested and released from the team?

Any idea what time the game will be next week?  I'm glad the NCAA will be carrying the video stream.  I'm pretty sure we will not have to worry about their server being at capacity like we had today.  Frustrating to say the least.

Wesley was seed 1 overall; Mount Union was seeded 2. So, I guess you could use that chant two more times.

Quote from: bleedpurple on December 04, 2010, 09:05:11 PM
Let's face it, today was as close as we have come to being able to use that chant in a long time. Seems like it may be awhile before we can use it again. So let's just call it seizing  rare opportunity!  ;D

Funny you should mention that ILGator, since Wesley being made the overall #1 seed in this tournament is probably harder for some/many/most (pick your word) Warhawk fans to accept than the other "mistake" the selection committee made!!  ;)  Hopefully, a positive result next sat will be noticed by those who made the call 3 + weeks ago.

How about, "all"  ;D

I didn't want to step on any toes in case there was someone out there in warhawk nation having a warm spot for the Wolverines!!  ;)  If anybody has any objections, speak up now or forever hold your peace!!

There was a fair amount of trash talking in the game, as there is in every game. On one play, one of the UWW OL was yelling in Garza's direction long after the play ended. It seemed to me that the UWW players were trying to get in Wenger's way after most plays. On one specific play, Coppage was nowhere near Wenger and neither was involved in the outcome of the play, but Coppage circled around and got in Wenger's face.

On the play under discussion, Wenger should have gotten a penalty, looking at what was happening at the end. But the officials were letting all the talking and pushing go, perhaps both players involved deserved a personal foul call.

ILGator, bp, others - was there an announcement at the game where the officiating crew was from? I listened to both the UWW radio broadcast and the D3 football broadcast and I can't recall either of them making any mention to the calls in the game...to me that would be a good thing!!  ;)

I know they were from Indiana.  It felt like there were some flags against UW-W at some key moments. That may have been just the emotion from being at the game, because I certainly wasn't watching what they were watching. But I was pretty bewildered by a ruling that Fiedorowics was "down" before he lost the ball two plays before Hibner's interception.

Noon east coast time...I watched the Wesley game today and the video out of Dover was a 100% improvement over what I and you didn't see out of North Central. It wasn't as good as the UWW TV production, but it was watchable and didn't have any buffering problems.

#40 is a POS.

All American

And a d-bag. Soon to be a loser

Unlike Warhawk 96, who got a little salty because some of his favorite players were being hit too hard, I felt that the rest of the Warhawk nation was a very nice bunch. Congrats and good luck to you against Wesley and UMU. Represent the North region well.

You're very unlike me. I find it amusing that you pull the class card when I call your best player out for being a cheap shot artist. ::) I speak my mind and I stand up for the people and things that I believe in. I always have and always will. If you have a problem with it good, it says a lot about you. As far as the hits are concerned, no complaints about the clean ones. We exchanged quite a few of those. Obviously we save ours for when they matter...like during the play.

Hey warhawk96.... Takes a lot of guts to say stuff about a guy online. I'm glad New Tradition got to you before I did. Way to represent your school with class. Matt Wenger is one of the more classy players on the field and an all around great guy. You can dislike a guy for being a good player. But don't question a guy's character on and off the field. You have some backbone, boy. I could care less if I get knocked on karma for calling you out because you deserve it. NCC had your team against the ropes today, and you're worried.... I guess that's cool. Hope your team hoes far warhawk96.... At least THEY were classy.
Before you got to me ;D?! HILARIOUS! Trust me, if there were any other way to say it I would. I DO have "some backbone" ;)

A better way to say it?  How about not saying it at all?  Funny how any of the other UW-W fans have a problem with the way the game was called.  And it doesn't seem like any of your fans have a problem with the way Wenger played his game.  That's really some way to talk about a guy who was Defensive Player of the Year for the CCIW  and is in the running for the DPOY for the nation this year.  Teams chirp, and they shove after plays, that's bound to happen.  As far as I'm concerned, I didn't see any BLATANT late hits on either side of the ball.  So for you to call a kid a "POS, D-bag, loser" (especially on POSSIBLY the last game of his career... although he has had a dozen NFL teams come to look at him... truly the sign of a d-bag loser...) is just classless.  Verging on, dare I say, ignorant.  You have no justification for the posts you've made about Wenger.  Also, I gotta know... is 20-10 a TRIPLE MONKEY STOMP?

Only bad things I have to say about the game:

- bad call about the fumble late in the game, ball came out before the NCC guy was down

- compared to the Perk the sound system and video board weren't that good. I kept looking to see the rushing/passing stats but couldn't. That wasn't too bad but I couldn't hear the announcements in the first half over the sound system.

I feel there were questionable calls that went for both teams (in agreement that it could have been my emotions).  Overall, I felt like it was definitely the game it was billed to be.  Other than you guys and Mount, I think it may have been the toughest you guys will face all season (although I am seeing through Red tinted glasses haha  8-))

Now that you mentioned it, there was an INT by McCoulloch that was denied by the officials.

The play you mentioned, too. But I think they agreed with it. It worked out pretty good anyway!!  ;)

I thought I heard Pat say on the broadcast today that both videos next week would be streamed by the NCAA and would be at different times.  I noticed on the NCAA website they have the MU game at noon eastern time and the UWW/Wesley game is "TBD".   I probably heard it wrong.

I would have to agree with you.  NCC's sound system has always been kind of... well... not good.   And our scoreboard is rather outdated.  However, they are re-doing the track and the field this spring/summer.  Hopefully a new scoreboard comes with it.

FINALLY back home after the game and a dinner with some friends in the Chi-town area.

Great game.  Defenses center stage, but the Hawks won the turnover battle.  That and the rushing matchup - I thought whoever won the rushing game would win the game.

That visitor bleacher section was maxxed out.  I took a stupid wrong turn and we walked around the NC campus before getting pointed in the right direction.  Meant we missed half a quarter and then were lucky to find bleacher room for us by the band.  But all's well that ended well.

Finally, big ups to 02 Warhawk for hosting the pre-game shindig.  You, sir, are a gentleman and a Warhawk.  (Good bloody Mary!!)  Thanks!!
What the hell was that?  That was a Drop-kick.  Drop-kick? How much is that worth?  Three points.  THREE POINTS?!

The missed fumble call was bewildering.  The Head Linesman should have been in position to see what the entire visitor fan section saw - the TE got spun in the air, then whacked as he started to fall towards the turf (Big fella had a long way to fall) and the ball went loose.  That play was out in space (not in traffic), should have been an easy call.

For the record, I'm a high school varsity officiating crew member, and I'm the LINESMAN.
