So UWW faces another team that can pass very well, but also brings a solid running game.
This is where I hope the Franklin and Trine games pay dividends for us in the secondary.  I didn't see the previous Wesley games, so all I know of them is what I read, and they seem like a highly talented bunch.

If the past is any indication, the game will be decided by who controls the line of scrimmage. They usually bring very talented skill position players and if we can neutralize the effectiveness of their linebackers, QB's, RB's, and WR's by beating them up front we will be successful. If not, it's going to be a long day. If we are able to get pressure with just our front four Wesley will be in for a very long day again.

If you can't ignore an insult, top it; if you can't top it, laugh it off; and if you can't laugh it off, it's probably deserved.

Wesley fans are saying nearly the same, except they substitute the words 'If we...' with 'We will be'... and 'Wesley' with 'Whitewater'...!!  :o
They believe their defense is the best in school history and can stop the Warhawks offense which a few believe is not playing very well these days (lackluster was the word used by the one poster). You can read more on their message board in the south region.

I'm pretty sure they would have had to eliminate the word "again" also!  ;D

Sounds like the North Central people - deja vu all over again.  I guess we'll see in four days.
What the hell was that?  That was a Drop-kick.  Drop-kick? How much is that worth?  Three points.  THREE POINTS?!

Haha, I know right!? It seems like every week we play the best defense since the 85 Bears :D Oh, well let them think what they want to. It wouldn't have been the first time they've been a little overconfident i their chances KABOOM!!

Eric's last year was 1988.

Although I wasn't with the Hawks at that time I was a lowly freshman on the UW-O Squad.  Transfered in 89' to WW

4)  The UWW O-Line just flat wears defenses down and Coppage is a workhorse

I love to hear my guys praised.  JUst as long as it doesn't go to their heads!!  We need to play well this weekend.  The weather is windy and cold in Delaware!!  I'm afraid to come as I usually see you play either on the computer or at the STAGG Bowl and don't want to jinx anything!!!  I'll be baking up a storm, however.  I'm planning to attend both the Gagliardi banquet and the team luncheon and want to sit with you guys again.  Let's keep a good thing going!!!  Oh, and #66, where are my copies of the pictures from last year?

FF413, you know it's high time to celebrate by making the trip BACK to Salem.  We do miss you and your family BIG TIME down here in Stagg Bowl Land!!  It seems like forever since I've seen you'all!!!  But if you must celebrate in Whitewater (I'm coming there one day!!!), have a drink for me, please!!!!

LET'S GO OOOOOOOs  I WANT HOLES THAT A GRANDMA CAN RIDE THRU IN A WHEELCHAIR!! WE DON'T WANT COPPAGE TO GET TIRED, DO WE?????

Olinemom

As an olinedad, I am hoping to have a chance to meet you in a couple weeks in Salem.   The O-Line will have to play a very complete game this Saturday as Wesley has a very good, quick defensive line, especially #90 Chris Mayes.   I am sure Coach Dinkel will come up with a great game plan to face the Wolverines.

GO WARHAWKS!!!

so is there any major impact on next saturdays game with the 4 players that were arrested and released from the team?

http://www.delawareonline.com/article/20101203/SPORTS08/12030370

From digging around this is what I came up with (mostly from the ACFC board)...

Douglas: was starting at TE, he was replacing the pre-season all american Sean McAndrew. McAndrew only played in the first 4 games this season (injured i assume?). I guess wesley will be down to their third-string tight end. From what I heard the third stringer is a good blocker but can't catch.

Fowlkes: was a part of the WR rotation throughout the year, he was probably further down on the depth chart. He scored a handful of TDs this season, a few being in the playoffs.

Strickland: probably their biggest hit from what I've read...he played a lot in the secondary, and was a big part of their nickle situations.

Baker: played on the d-line, but only played on a few snaps.

When the delawareonline.com report asked for a quote from the Wesley head coach did he tell them "To go cover soccer!"?  ;)
