WC11,
That kind of came out of nowhere.  Do you get a little cantankerous when football season ends for you guys?  ;)
LOL.  Can't really blame him though.  I know I do..................... ;) ;D

Well...I had an opening so I had to take a little shot.  No ill will towards UWW at all.  Linfield kids last year said UWW played clean and hard...always respect that.

With regards to the 'Cats season being done...My 1-month old daughter summed it up best with this picture:

She is beautiful, 11, or at least I assume she is when she's not crying over the Cat's loss!  ;) I'll bet Grandpa is over the moon!    :-*

Thanks 413!  Gig Harbor Cat is one feisty Grandfather!  :)

bleedpurple,

#84 Ellis Grout is the key receiver for Wesley. At 6'4 200, a big target. How does UWW defend against him vs. the other receivers? :-\

Probably will work it similarly to the way we played it in the Stagg Bowl last year. Grout may get his, like Shorts did. But at the end of the day, 5 sacks and 3 turnovers should do the trick!  ;)

Forcing the QB to pull it down and run for his life always works for me.  ;)

4 players missing, no issue.  all can be replaced, wesley is deep.  as for krout, he is good but so is the other top receiver, stephenson, just as big and just as good.  they open field for the others to catch and run.  20 and in, good luck stopping the lob into the end zone, both go get it.  pressure always works.  will come down to line play as usual.  wesley dominated umhb, thus the easy win.  we shall see saturday.

19-9 is domination? easy win?  ;)  That needs an explanation. Just because you held them to fewer total yards doesn't make it domination, an easy win.  It was only a 10 point game.  ::)

bobo, sorry, left out the lines dominated play. :o  the easy win is an opinion, mine that was shared by the folks that i was standing with who had no dog in the fight.  the game was close but never in doubt, i think they missed the explanation in the podcast.  too much time spent on what umhb didnt get done, caused by the wesley defense, and not enough time spent on what wesley didnt get done, caused by the umhb defense.  umhb had one shot to score before daniels broke the td run to make it 19 -9.  before that wesley missed a field goal and kicked 2 others, so the score does not reflect the potential final.  thus my belief that it was an easy win.  being at the game gives you a different view of it than the stats or the final score.

^ It's these kinds of games that can be easily lost - then you wonder for days afterward what happened!!  ;)

Karma killer prediction:

UWW prevails 45-14, 28-14 at half.

The lines take control, especially in the second half. Wesley's skill positions allow them to score two touchdowns early before the wearing down takes place.

wesleydad

masterjedi, dont see uwww getting 28 let alone 45.  like your belief in the warhawks, but dont see it this time.  only 20 last week, similar if that much this week.

emma17

Wesleydad, I have to say I appreciate your conviction.

I've seen UMHB fans posting that the game was closer, and that if it weren't for this or that....
I've also seen Wesley fans posting that Wesley could/should have had a much higher score, if it weren't for this or that...

That's the thing about football, there always seems to be those this' and thats.  Prior to UWW's victory over Mt in 2007, I felt Mt was the one team that did the best job of reducing the this' and thats- which forced teams to execute at a level they simply weren't accustomed to- In all phases of the game.

Since 2007, I believe UWW has joined Mt as the best in leaving as little to chance as possible.

Thanks 68!  Wow, my second 200k started by a Raider? Maybe it means there will be purple in the Stagg for years to come!  ;)
