That is some serious purple kool aid right there. Drink up!
It's a fan blog, Usee.  He doesn't profess to be an unbiased reporter.  And I saw observations backed up by statistics. With a purple bent?  Damn right but doesn't every poster have a bent to their posts?

Well said 413! +k.   ;)

warhawk96.  save your lame kaboom for someone who cares about a stupid cannon going off.  i was answering a question posed to me.  didnt expect you to fear wesley.  i never mentioned that wesley's lines are great, just that they domnated umhb, and muhlenberg and montclaire st.  none are at the level of uwww.  you seem to have issues with anyone who thinks that someone might actually challenge uwww.  as i have stated several times, we shall see on saturday.  just get over yourself and bring something to the discussion other than KABOOM.  it is getting old.

obviously the wesley coaching staff cared....hence the reseason we can't use it anymore.

They cared because they said it was demeaning.....the aspect of the game that was demeaning was that they quit in the second half led by their star defensive lineman who phoned it in the second half.....True it is history but your legacy not mine.....If it wasn't for Santiago(an excellent player) the Warhawks could have scored 100....Means nothing this week but those games did happen and your team was classless im my opinion asking to remove the cannon......Pound the Rock!.....BOOM BOOM......

retagent

I, too, find all the emphasis on the cannon, and uniform colors tedious.

Maybe the Wesley coaches felt that since it meant so much to the UWW fans/team, he would say something. Or maybe he felt that "This isn't 'Nam. There are rules."

My guess is that UWW wins because of superior talent, execution and coaching. Novel, I know, but just my opinion.

+k for BoBo for his +k for bp.

Actually, I think it is because of NCAA playoff regulations that ban such sound making devices in the playoffs.  I don't know where people are getting that Wesley coaches got involved in the whole matter.  Unless you know something I don't, which is possible, hehehe.....

It wouldn't matter if Wesley HAD a Fire Siren.  If they sounded it off when you score, more power to you. My strong guess is that the UW-W reaction would be to focus on playing better defense rather than calling the NCAA.  ;)

As far as the game itself, it seems like Wesley's best chance would be try to get at least a 2 score lead and play from the top.  It is easier said than done, but it would put UW-W in a situation they haven't faced this year.

Warhawks practiced inside the U of Wisconsin Mcclain practice facility tonight. Local news interviewed local kid (Brekke from Sun Prairie) about becoming the starting QB.

Yep, I was up in Whitewater last night dropping off a suit for Warhawkson for the trip to Delaware and talked to some of the players as they were getting onto the bus to go to Madison.    And from what I was told, Blanchard seems to be having significant improvement daily.  Either way, we have good quarterbacking, but Blanchard's mobility adds another dimension.

Oh, you'll complain about it. When you hear it, you WILL complain about it. :o

If it can be heard within the stadium it violates the rule.  or at the very least the spirit of it.  ;)
That is the rule interpetation we were told two weeks ago.

Actually you can make all the noise you want.  We have more important things to be concerned with.

You guys are hilarious.  The fire siren at the stadium is actually one of the many Dover Volunteer FD sirens that go off if there is an emergency call.  One of the cheers that Wolverines fans use is a whoop similar to the siren.  When it goes off, it is really loud and it has panicked more than one visitor's fan thinking that there was a tornado warning.

I would like to know where you guys are getting the whining of the Wesley coaches.  I think they are just the opposite.....

Didn't whitewater try that this year as well? I remember in a few home games a siren going off every touchdown (along with the cannon) during the regular season...

It will be heard inside the stadium for sure and the NCAA won't do a thing about it.
