Congrats to the WARHAWK NATION......It was great to be a part of this 6years ago with the first trip to Salem ......who would have thought that first time that the Warhawks would be back to Salem 5 more times in a row.....Have a great time ....we will be watching in Chi-Town as we go for three out of 4.....Pound the rock.....BOOM......

And by the way, I would take Keith's word for it on what Wesley might have been able to do to stretch the field for four reasons:
1) He's a neutral party.
2) He played defensive back at the D-III level, and with success.
3) He's seen Wesley play in person this year before today.
4) He's seen Whitewater play in person this year before today.
Few of you can say you have all four, most can't even say you have two. So, sorry if the non-homer broadcast was a bother but that's what an honest assessment looks like.
Although they may have been able to strech the field a bit more, I doubt a "healthier team" would have made up the difference as much as he lead on in the broadcast.  I respectfully disagree based on the game I watched.  And, not that it really matters, but outside of being a UWW fan, I have three of the four.

stagg bowl being broadcasted on ESPN2????

I thought it was ESPNU this year??  ESPNU is even lower than ESPN2.

damn i don't get the U...have to go elsewhere to watch the game
How about the Mad Boar in Whitewater?  I am calling Nick to confirm they get the U, (what is that crap ??? ::)) and to make sure they open up early enough.  Do we have a start time?

last year i watched it at Sack's in Whitewater. i may make the trip in again.

You saw Wesley play in person before today? Kudos.

Agreed -- safe travels for all UWW fans returning home. Not sure how many inches of snow we have here in the Twin Cities but I blew 10-12 inches off my driveway at 10:30 this morning and out for round two in a moment.

Wesleydad, congrats on a great season!  Hopefully we can do this again next year!  Any update on the injured receiver's knee?  I mentioned it earlier that I hope he didn't worsen his injury as I would LOVE to see him get a healthy shot at the next level.  I hope he gets well soon.  I always like to see both teams at full strength, and it's always nice to see a rare talent play at this level.

In the postgame news conference it was termed as an ACL and MCL tear. That's what he tried to play with today. Not sure what new damage he might have done to it.

Tough kid to try to play that way.  I wish him a speedy recovery.  We need more representation at the next level and I'd love to see him get his shot.

Pat, does it really matter if you've seen a team live or on tape??  Come on, man.  That's a poor argument in my opinion.

What a road to the Stagg Bowl for the Hawks:

-Knocking out three undefeated teams
-Defeating a pair of Gagliardi finalists QBs
-Taking down two of the top three defenses in the country!
-While only getting two home games

Wasn't the smoothest ride through the playoffs, but based on the criteria above....i'll take it!!!!

GREAT DAY TO BE A WARHAWK!!

Since we're in Wisconsin, you should be able to find some cheese to serve with that whine. You couldn't even get the "Monkey Stomp". And you call yourselves a football team. "

"Mommy, mommy, help me. They're want to take away my Stagg Bowl appearance to which I'm entitled."
Oh, PLEASE............I think that our team erased all doubt with this road to Salem that they shouldn't get there because they are entitled, but rather, because they have earned it..................... ::) :P By the way, monkey stomp is a your MIAC term and no, we can't boast of one this play-off season.  Maybe if we had been moved into the East........................ ;) ;)

I am going to regret biting on this, aren't I?   ;)

Actually...after watching Bethel's offense today, I would say the WEST (minus UWW) was AS weak if not weaker.  Were they balanced?  Maybe...but that was a balance of "ok" football teams.  I read where some of you UWW people saying how tough Linfield was this year, and you were thinking they could win the West.  Hmm.....not so much.  St. Thomas the #1 seed....hmm....if you can't beat that one-dimensional team that is Bethel then you really weren't a true #1 seed.

I really think the EAST teams Mount played this year (not including St. Lawrence) would be very even with the WEST bracket this year.  I am not bad-mouthing anyone, but having watched the "best of the West", there is no difference.

KitchenSink

The playoffs just seem to prove that you have to have balance on offense.  A strong running game without complimentary passing game (even with a strong D) just ain't enough to get you through to the Stagg Bowl.
What the hell was that?  That was a Drop-kick.  Drop-kick? How much is that worth?  Three points.  THREE POINTS?!

Congrats UWW for another trip to the big game.  Well deserved for getting it done on the road.
