As WarhawkDad said, two of the picks were waaay down field.

Those were some of the oddest 3rd down play calling decisions made in that game. Wesley not only did it once, they basically did the same thing later on. The Wesley QB simply reared back and threw the ball straight up in the air, as far down field as he could. I guess they were hoping for a miracle or a Warhawk mistake. My initial thought is that Wesley had no faith in their punter. After the second one, it was confirmed that way in my mind. I was hoping they would do it again, but as it turned out, we got our picks the old fashioned way, we earned them!!  ;)

Leaving tomorrow morning.  Safe drive to all who are driving, safe flight to all who are flying.  To those staying at home, find a nice warm place to watch the game and root for your Warhawks! (unless you are a UMU fan  ;) )

See everyone in Salem!

WarhawkDad

I hope you are flying. I made it to Lexington Ky tonight but may be stuck here tomorrow because the weather in Ky, WV, Tenn, and Va is freezing rain, sleet, and 3 to 5 of snow tonight and tomorrow. Not so good to drive in the mountains  :'(

Key to the game.........

The Purple Suit boys need to get their multi-lined beer bong out and entice many UWW fans/players/parents to partake.  I will NEVER forget the UWW Mom that was up to the challenge.  Now THAT....was epic.   ;D
For the record...................not me, BTW!  ;)

Safe travels to all!

I know I'm biased being an ex O-line coach, but behind TO's I really think the game hinges on the line of scrimmage.

I think this is true.  I also think they are connected. While some turnovers are unforced, turnovers are not usually "isolated incidents".  They are often the fruit of winning the line of scrimmage. Whether it is forcing the QB throw a count early, or getting a clean shot at a running back because the D-linemen/linebackers are defeating blocks earlier in the play. The effect can also be cumulative. When a defense wins the line of scrimmage, it can get into the QB's head and he can rush throws even when he does have time to throw. With the possibility of back-up QB's playing for each team, there is even a greater premium on winning the line of scrimmage battle.

safe travels to all the warhawk fans.  stop by and say hi, i will be with stone station and easy to find, i will have a wesley jersey on.  as for the game, line of scrimmage, line of scrimmage, line of scrimmage, who wins it wins the game unless someone turns it over more than expected.  both teams seem to have good ones, well i saw one teams and they were good, heard the other one is too.  looking forward to a good game and i hope the weather and the roads clear up before i hit the road friday morning.

The 2010 Warhawks have an attribute that hasn't been discussed much:

A keen observation.  You pick up on things that most people simply don't.  If I didn't know better I'd say you were raised in a football family. ;)

Really? He told me he came from a family of ballet dancers and hairdressers.

Good article, BP.

Enjoy the game, you lucky people who get to go. Olinemom, you are a sweetheart to make all those brownies.

Don't forget to make your picks on the pick'em board. Still waiting for most of you to pick. The bonus questions mean almost everybody still has a chance to take home the crown as Playoff Pick'em Champion. This is another reminder from you friendly Playoff Pick'em Administrator.  ;D
